The deal started today don't know how long for 20% discount down from 399.99

Pretty amazed looking and seeing that this has HDMI 2.0. Means you can actually do 4K at 60Hz. I wouldn't believe any of this "100Hz" stuff because HDMI 2.0 can't output 4K at that refresh rate. Very impressive deal though, almost tempted to buy even though I don't need it at all!

I was going to buy this and use it as a computer monitor and for gaming but was concerned that there might be significant input lag. Can anyone advise whether they've experienced any input last when using this as a monitor and/or when gaming?

probably stupid question but do you have to have 4k channels to watch in 4K?

Some 4k porn out there lol

Lots of phones record in 4k so you could enjoy the recordings as they were meant to be seen i.e Four times the resolution of Full HD

You can get a HDMI lead that scales 1080p @24Hz to 4k, but hat won't work with the TVs built in tuner. No channels are 4k anyway I believe. I think some folks on Netflix might be available at 4k, but no physical media is available at 4k, also, this isn't a smart TV, so your need a 4k enabled device to steam the media from Netflix to your TV.

wow I posted this 3 months 1 week ago at £249 it never went above 15%heat

Yes I saw the 39 inch one for lower than this nothing but bad reviews plus only 30hz in 4k but this one has up to 100hz not that it will get up to that this has never been this low I bought this morning and it's not bad impressed for the price just bring on 4k blu Rays and games I'm prepared

don't think I can handle a 40inch bush

I asked them if I could return the TV if I want happy with it's performance, and they said no, because it would be 'used' and their returns policy only allowed the return of none faulty goods if they are unused

What??

If you buy in-store, you could only do this if you return it unused/unopened. If you buy online and have it delivered, you've covered under DSR, which means you can return it if you dont like it, regardless of if you have opened it or used it.

Is it actually 100Hz or is it simulated?

Yes, my experience was the same when I tried to return a satellite box that wasn't picking up half the channels it should. After that I make sure any electronics I buy are purchased over the internet (after checking them out at Currys of course), the DSG make it impossible for them to accept a return within 2 weeks so long as it's not damaged and is returned with the original packaging. I stick to Amazon mostly for this reason. Having said that, this is a great deal for an HDMI 2.0 TV, kudos to Bush (or Argos?) for selling this at a reasonable price.

40" too small - Cold

Ok have some heat

it will just be the strobing technology. Seiki are one of few companies that offer actual 120hz (albeit not at 4k)

see this before you get wowed by the price, seems you get what you pay for?

Surely a far better deal?

but no physical media is available at 4k

Only if we aren't including PC games, but yes, unless you actually have any source material or a rig decent enough to take advantage of 4K gaming, then it may be somewhat pointless.

only 30hz at 4k

This TV has no future. With no smart features you will be relying on external devices for the 4K content. However it is not HDCP 2.2 compliant so you are really going to struggle for content.

You are essentially limited to a PC with GTX 900 series as AMD dropped the ball on HDMI 2.0.

Is this the same TV that was available from the states last year via Amazon?

I need a new TV as my LG dog of a TV I. Bought two years ago is already on its last legs.

I'm looking for a tv/monitor for a ps4 and a high spec gaming pc - anyone know if this would be good?

No it would not. Generally you have input lag problems with 4k TV's.

In UHD (it's proper name), that's four times the pixel density to be accurate, not four times the resolution.

it's a bush - what do you think? Even the best Panasonic only has 200Hz panel.

100Hz simulated at 4k on a bargain basement TV - no way is it worth it, extra pixels doesn't mean extra quality. Besides, this probably cannot decode or play media in 4k so you're stuck until you have a 4k streaming box - where quality will look terrible anyway.

Hate to say it, but that's what happens when you buy LG. I'm glad I bought my Panasonic from my local independent with a 5 year guarantee for free! If your LG broke down ,at least upgrade in brand - don't downgrade to Argos Value. (aka bush)

Ye but isn't the Xbox one and ps4 4k ready so when 4k blu Rays are out at the end of the year you can watch them there not gonna be useless in the future

That set has HDMI 1.4 this set has 2.0 that's just one difference. You dont judge a TV by others from the same manufacturer
