I usually always avoid Bush audio/video stuff...... but that is ridiculously cheap for a 42" 3D smart TV.

There's an app by Bush on android and ios to use smartphones/tablets with this tv's browser and apps etc...

Same. Saves getting hairs in your teeth.

Be aware of what a "Smart" TV actually has. Apparently this has 5 apps, iPlayer, Netflix, Skype, Facebook and Youtube.

Hardly sets the Connected world alight does it. I can't see any support being offered if any of those wide range of Apps stops working. Try finding the Bush website and you have an idea what you're up against !

In fairness the 'poor support and lack of apps' thing affects EVERYTHING which calls itself a SmartTV - no-one really relies on those things if they care about connectivity, do they?

Nice price, anyone know how the 50Hz refresh rate looks?

As for "smart tv" I use a chromecast, could use Roku. Which makes it sort of redundant.

Surely that's dependent on whether the person buying needs more than 2 HDMI sockets?
My parents, for instance, have only ever had their Virgin media box plugged into theirs for years.

Yes that's true, but stop calling him Shirley.

This tech any better than a 2007 Samsung? Always been happy with it, but this is a great price for new-er tech and the extra 10 inches will go down well with the mrs lol

really good price. The "smart" in this TV let's it down for me. Voted hot as you get your moneys worth with this TV.

Looks like 0plenty of stock for once!

Anyone with AMEX - currently have £5 statement credit on a £40 Argos spend

hi, thanks for the post!

it says £10 free voucher, how do I collect that?

Not a bad deal, shame it's only 50Hz refresh. Still, can't expect everything at this price!

I searched in argos tv section for this tv without the link today, and found that it doesn't show up in the argos tv section search for some reason. However if you enter a general search for bush 3d it mysteriously is there.

No wonder they reduced it if nobody can find it through argos's own system! oO

Worth bearing in mind, if your looking for something. Don't rely on the argos filter system.

Anyone else had this issue?

Its in the 'clearance' section, then go to TV's in that section.

I bought a bush tv from argos about a year ago. It had a dead pixel so I asked for an exchange for another one. The delivery guy simply brought the new one and left me with the old one as well. He didn't want the old tv just declined in broken english. No more questions were asked, I ended up with two tvs. Funny thing though, the other one had a dead pixel as well. Bottom line, Bush equipment ain't the best.

I've only ever needed one. Games, movies, blurays and TV all come from my HTPC.

But with all these tech stuff, it means more cables, more power usage, and continuously switching backwards and forwards.

Weird, on the Argos website in the product manual, also states it has ethernet, SPDIF and is full HD at 60Hz. Can anyone who has the TV confirm this? Thanks

If purchasing online you receive the voucher code in an email. They give you the £10 voucher if purchasing in store.

Good price but I would never buy another tv from Argos again, received appalling service when our Bush tv went wrong after 3 months, we were 5 weeks without a tv that they then admitted they couldn't even fix! Since then I have seen numerous people returning Bush tv's in Argos. Maybe a faulty batch on the one I had but it's put me off buying tv's there again, just my opinion of course am sure there are some happy customers :-)

Is 50Hz bad?

Where did you find the manual? I can't seem to find one or how to find one, on Argos website.
Can you upload a copy, or paste a link to the download page?
thanks

Pretty sure it's faster than my eyes. And even the biggest cinemas have been getting away nicely with 24hz for a very long time & I don't think many people complained.
