Very tempted, hot!
no 4k, all console coming with 4k bluray player soon. No point to buy an 1080p tv anymore

Because everyone plays on consoles and watch Blu-ray movies.

still no point anymore despite the fact that a 1080p movie is more enjoyable on a 1080p tv

What?
Good TV. Better than you'd expect for price. Hot
Good price for a 48 inch just don't look at it from the side as she's one ugly mother ... I think a lot of people won't even bother with 4K

if it's like 32" good picture but terrible sound, had to get sound bar for mine.
I understand where you coming with this, even so it's 48". it's great deal
What are you supposed to do with a 48" Bush?
Hot!
Decent price for a TV this size from a reputable/known company. It does look hideous from the side though

If you just want a standard TV for everyday viewing this doesnt look too bad, for a movie enthusiast you'll want to go with a better brand at least

I don't think the sound quality is an issue for most people as they have a surround sound system.

put a 4k tv and a 1080 beside each other in a room and tell me the difference because i have tried and couldnt. our eyes cant see the difference if your 2 foot away u might notice a difference but i would doubt it in most cases big selling gimic.

I think the difference between 1080p and 4K is pretty huge, it's just a shame that there isn't much 4K content out there.

So there is a point? Or not?
Well how much of 4k content is out there and it will take years for the content to arrive.
If you get this TV now you will have got enough value from it to justify the cost :-)

So HOT from me for the excellent price. Never seen a 48 inch go this low :-)

I disagree I think you can tell the difference, I'd like 4K as I'm a film collector and want the best picture quality but it's just too much cost and bother having to get rid of my 51" plasma. Then again none of my real favourites have come out on 4K yet such as Predator, the first two Terminators and Fifth Element.

yeah in numbers there is but the eyes can only see so much unless youre superhuman, u will find there isnt, even with 4k blueray etc but if u want to buy a 4k tv thats up to u im just stating what i have seen in 2 similar tvs beside each other we couldnt tell the difference.
I've just burnt all my non 4K equipment in the house including all VHS, DVD, Blu Rays and anything else that can generate an image that isn't in 4K. As already mentioned, anything that isn't 4K is utterly useless now, in fact it won't even work on anything that isn't 4K, probably, maybe.

Unrelated, but does anyone know where i can buy true 4K programming other than the occasional thing on Youtube and Nutflix? - I've got very little to watch on my new 4K TV

I agree there isnt much 4k content out there, however my opinion 4k is much clearer and sharper than 1080p. I have an LG 49" 4k and the quality is very impressive and superior to Full HD (this is coming from a samsung full HD). Just my opinion, spend a bit more and get a 4K, doesnt have to be top brand like sony as I see samsung do some very decent priced ones along with LG and hisense (I can only vouch for LG though).

I think it's aimed at those who prefer to watch.

Pretty good taste there 8-)
Very poor quality tv poor sound and picture I am taking mine back in the morning
Very impressed for the price, although I don't use the built in Freeview much.

Connected it up to my PC via HDMI, on screen text was really blurry at first, this was solved by setting Sharpness to 0, after that it looks great.

You will need a soundbar or amp though, as the built in speakers are pretty tinny.
