u may thinking your getting a great deal, but these TV never last that long! I know we all like to save lots of money.. but spend a bit more and get a better make!

Hi pmack,

Amended the link now is live.

Worth mentioning you willl also get a £10 Argos voucher as well

I bought the 32" 3D bush from argos clearance about 18 months ago, picture is decent even in 3D, sound is pretty good too, I paid £150 for it, I really don't understand people including which! Saying they are bobbins, not top class by any stretch but a 50" for sub £300 is fantastic.
I really believe some people would complain if they gave you money to take stuff from them.

Am not a TV expert and am after something like this. How does it compare to that ASDA 50" one from a few months back for £286? (Polaroid P50LED14)?

Only 50Hz so rubbish for fast action scenes or sports. but otherwise a cheap tv.

This is fine for anyone who's not really picky.
I still use an LG from like 6 years ago and I think its brilliant but I guess the tech heads on here would say otherwise.

I was going to say ...cue the "I love a Big bush for that kinda money"....but I see its been done.....X)
Ive had Bush products last longer and better than bigger known brands ....its all relative really.....and its cheap ...so Heat from me....;)

Hi,

I am in the market for a 50" for a bit of PS4 gaming and I was considering this or the Blaukpunkt 50" on Richer sounds for about £79 more. richersounds.com/pro…211 the thing with the RS tv is the 5 year gaurantee is appealing also. If you had a budget of £450 tops what would you go for if you just need a TV, no smart features of 3d, preferably over 40" also and 1080p?

Thanks,

Martin

Super cheap, good find

That's what I would go for .....5 year warranty as well and free delivery.

Does any know if it online yet cant find it

Only 50Hz boo hoo

Don't forget blurays and TV broadcasts are between 24-30hz and anything extra is just false imagery made up by the TV.

High refresh rates might be good for snooker and football but for anything else it pretty much destroys the intentional look of the original footage and makes it look artificial and cheap.

The megapixel myth is dead, long live the refresh rate myth.
Edited by: "fatdeeman" 15th Oct 2014

A lot of the big manufacturers also use smoke and mirrors when it comes to refresh rates, they'll say it has 100,200,300 or whatever but in reality its just a 50hz panel with special backlighting. Its more common in cheaper models but you want a true 100hz+ TV do a lot of research.

just to say it not a smart tv. it a mistake on argos

why does the link take me through a referral site?...if it was something that was available through Quidco or Topcashback it would jeopardise the cashback.

just to say it not a smart tv.

Plenty stock, just reserved one...now to see if I can get it past the wife!

£299 down the drain in my eyes. We had a 24" bush. Lasted just over a year then dead screen. Luckily im not daft (apart from buying a bush) and was able to procure the correct circuit board to replace the dead one and its up and running again. Not to be bitten again I bought a 42" from RS with 5 year warranty.

Funnily enough our 37" Sony is still going strong after 7 years. You get what you pay for so they say.

I have reserved mine for pick up on argos site at this price

the one at richer sounds has a faster response rate.
anything higher than 6 is going to ghost.
wouldn't want to see a ps4 running at 8ms

Went to Richersounds and got a 50" Panasonic after checking out loads in a Tesco superstore for £439 with an evoucher. My other TVs are 6 and 8 year old lcd and the difference of the new set is amazing! Really happy with this purchase

Oh no the 50htz guy's are out !

Even more interesting if you add the Bush sound bar and wireless sub woofer - when added to this deal you get both the 50" TV and the sound bar/woofer for £374

baz-007

A bush can always do with sorting by a dongle....
