Compared with other Tablets with a smaller 7in screen and running Android, I totally agree.

Bush have always been crap, since the 1960's anyway.

And who on earth would pay money for Windows 8 unless they were forced to?

Android, in fact ANYTHING, is better than the OS from hell - Win8 and 8.1

8.1 > 7
If you prefer Android over Windows you must be what, 11?

Each OS had it's good points and bad points so each to their own. This whole "this OS is better than that OS" is both childish and a relic from about ten years ago.

Having said that this tablet is going to be horrible. If you want a Windows tablet but don't want to fork out Surface prices you can find since Windows tablets around the £200 mark. If you want Android then you have plenty of choices such as the HUDL 2, Nexus 7 or even Vodafone's new tablet.

The 1980's called, they'd like their immaturity back...

there are sometimes windows programs i need to use. i was considering this and a bt keyboard as a cheap way to replace my aging xp netbook. i know bush has a poor rep, but im guessing this one of the microsoft/intel attempts to flood the market rebadged. whatever, i think ill wait until there are a couple of reviews!!

Windows has been truly awful with 1GB Ram for years. It takes a lot of gall for them to bring it back.

Maybe I am childish, but all I'm doing is sharing my opinion, if that makes me childish, so be it.
I guess the Intel vs AMD, NVIDIA vs AMD is childish? Oh well.

Windows 8 is very RAM friendly it's just applications aren't. Kinda like Android.

Quite true: the company that became Bush Radio in 1932, from the ashes of Graham Amplion company, had a great reputation.

They went from strength to strength when Bush became part of the Rank empire in 1945 and they created the popular DAC90A and DAC10 radios, and the distinctive TV22 television. Furthermore, the Ogle Design Bush TR82 transistor radio, launched in 1959, is a true classic.

The decline started when they merged with Murphy Radio in 1962 and created a new company called Rank Bush Murphy Ltd. They revived their fortunes in 1978 when Rank teamed up with Toshiba to make TV's but in 1980 Rank terminated the agreement and Toshiba continued to manufacture television sets alone.

These days there are not many companies (if any) manufacturing all the components themselves. They source the cheapest and you find the same components in different brands. Bush is no different.

Compare's ok with the Linx ones, possibly better processor, (1.33 - 1.8?) has HDMI in the pics not listed in specs as far as I can see and unusually two usb sockets, one of which supposedly usb3.

Sadly bush is not really a proper manufacturer, it is just a name owned by Home retail (Argos etc) and used to badge cheap Chinese made items. It's a bit of a con to deceive people, a lot of older folk see the Bush name they knew and buy thinking it is the same Bush quality they once knew.
It happens a lot these days.

Great fluid O/S, personally I prefer RT but each to his or her own. It's such a relief using a real uncompromised web browser which supports flash content.

You said it, - "Uninspiring spec"
I would add, Uninspiring price.
Much better stuff out there.

Hey if we can get this to -1000 degrees; Argos will have stock clogging their shelves; the price will plummet and we can all get a bargain in the January sales. I'm gonna vote this cold myself Hope that's not against HUKD's rules oO

Don't touch tablet with a barge pole. For this price there are lots of excellent tablets out there. This one is fit only for the rubbish bin like most Bush products.

All Windows supports flash. Only works on iOS with jailbreaking and on some versions of Android with workarounds (like using multiple browsers for different things).

I maintain that Windows 8 is absolutely awful ...... stick with Andriod and a decent tablet.

I quite agree: Windows 8 is not my favourite - that would be Windows XP; however, the apps I use run more readily on Windows. If I was only playing games or watching movies or social media I could make do with a different machine but I don't and I can't.

Horses for courses. I find android sluggish and sometimes just slows down for no apparent reason, even on good hardware. I also find I end up using lots of different, similar apps to do each task as there are so many options to choose from and yet each has limitations as well. For example, I'd use Chrome for most web browsing but for some sites Dolphin browser worked better or an obscure version of some other browser because it handled Flash better. And then something else to handle keeping favourites in sync. Then the icons to launch things were spread over several screens and I spent too much time selecting launchers and installing mini apps to get round the limitations. Getting a consistently good experience for me has made me switch over to Windows and I like it a lot. I don't prescribe the same to anyone else, completely depends on your preferences and it really would be a dull world if we all went for the same things all the time.

No, I know that, It's just like you said "I prefer RT because I can use flash in browser".

I said I preferred RT and I also said I liked having an unrestricted browser. Sorry for the unintended confusion there - my preference for RT over full Windows is more down to security and ease of management. I'd rather have any Windows than iOS or Android.

Has flash player ideal for sport streams, has hdmi (micro not mini)output, however does not output with full screen image on tv.It has a nice fluid interface and micro sd card slot with option to select sd card as storage place for photos music and video.I have found it grreatly exceeds my expectations as the Bush android tablets were not well revieved and are being discounted as low as£49.99.Camera is poor not just in resolution but optically weak ,but front facing camera suitable for skype etc. I'm using this more than my 2012 nexus 7 after lollipop update.FIFA 15 plays well as does Beach Buggy rally.Thrown with 1years microsoft office you could do alot worse than buy this bargain sub £100 full Windows 8.1tablet.

Should this be unexpired (although with such a cold score perhaps not!) - but just got 4/5 by PCPRO and hot hardware of the week!

To be perfectly honest the "BUSH brand is rubbish" is a bit nonsensical - in the end BUSH is just a badge - a Chinese tablet manufacturer is pumping these out and if the hardware reviews and performs well then the BUSH logo is just to be avoided if you are a badge snob :-)

Plenty of good reviews on Argos as well.

EDIT - just noticed the Linx 8 is slightly higher spec and cheaper if you shop around - so perhaps not worthy of un-expiring
