Customer Review:

Well worth the money

£45 is a small price to play for a home cinema system, and without any of the product spec that you can see above, I bought this not expecting too much. I was pleasantly surprised

If you are looking for a super slim DVD player, this is not it, but dispite being heavy and quite wide it looks sleek. It has a completely mirrored front that masks the display screen when turned off. When on it displays the time and even the chapter of the DVD something i hadn't seen on previous DVD players i've owned but surprisingly useful

Not only does it play DVDs but MP3 cds and picture cds too. This is a feature i love as you can copy about 10-15 cds onto one disc in MP3 format turning the player into a media centre. There are a number of different sound settings too like rock, soft, pop, etc that improves the sound quality when listening to CDs. The only negative aspect of this is there is no suffle option to play songs on Mp3 Cds at random
For £45 you can't expect too much power from the speakers. The do in fact put out 105 watts, which isn't massive. The only sound quality that suffers from this is the bass, it isn't thumping by any standards. I use mine in quite a small room and the bass isn't too bad, probably wouldn't be as bad in a big room. The DVD does have feature where by which you can add 'extra bass' and 'super bass' which improves it but can slightly distort the treble speakers in some cases.

The 5 surround speakers work well, especially the rear speakers which seem to provide background sound even to audio tracks that aren't 5.1. Although there isn't too much power to the speakers they go very load without any distortion at all.
So if you're looking for high powered system with big bass and an ultra slim DVD player, go and spent an extra £200 on an other system. If you are looking for a home entertainment system that does the job very well and is excellent value for money, then look no further.
