Now OOS for my area. They do have a frost-free version for £149.99 (486/5856) but that too is OOS in my area.

It says no stock for my postcode for delivery

Freezer capacity is significantly smaller

wont let my order go through - OOS

For £189.99 (+8.95) is this a better option for a significantly bigger frost free fridge?

Dimensions: Size H185, W60, D61cm.

Had this delivered last week. Hard to tell how annoying the freezer will be as I've only had it a week. Seems good so far. Thought it was HUKD worthy when I bought it, I was obviously right!

bargain for the money

Don't buy this if you're considering it for a non heated room ie. garage etc.

* Ambient temperature 16 to 32°C.

I wasnt even aware that there was such a specification. Thanks for the snippet.

Wasnt thinking of getting the freezer, but its useful to know what may affect performance

It's a bit ironic, isn't it for a fridge needing to be in an ambient temperature, wouldn't you say?

Pretty much all of these cheap fridge freezers also only have one thermostat which means that even if the refrigerant gas doesn't freeze, the freezer will thaw because the the thermostat is only controlling the fridge. I have that problem so during the winter I can't store anything in the freezer section of my garage f/f. Luckily my refrigerant gas (R600a) is rated down to 5degrees which hasn't *yet* caused an issue cooling the fridge.

Yep, but cheaper manufacturing equals corners that need to be cut.

Got it, fridge works brilliantly!

The freezer however seems below par, the bottom drawer sometimes isn't very cold, pulled numerous ice lollies and had them simply break in my fingers.
The top drawer gets very frosty and needs de-icing at least one a week, the middle drawer works fairly fine though as long as the top drawer hasn't iced over it and blocking it from opening.

I could do with a new bush

Not entirely correct. The main reason that fridge freezers with one thermostat & one compressor are only suitable for use in ambient temperatures is because in cold conditions once the the fridge interior is down to set temp. of say 2C the compressor will switch off and stay off ..........the freezer will then not be able to remain at -20C.

There are two issues, refrigerant gas and only having one thermostat. If the refrigerant gas won't work below say 10degrees it doesn't matter how many thermostats you have.
