i know nothing about lcd tv's. im looking for one, this seems a big screen size for the money, but what about the company and the specs...are they awful? good for the price? some help please

those specs on a 42" screen do not sound very promising, ill bet freeview looks a bit ropey...I would put £500 on a 'better' 37"..

why's this getting so cold
explanation please - has it already been posted, are Bush that bad
so it's not "really high spec" but £500 for a HD 42" seems pretty good to me (I paid a lot more for a LG 6 months ago)

Good Price
I've had the 37" without freeview for over a year now (cost me £599 from argos) and the picture from component and HDMI look great, Sky even looks very tidy through SCART.
My only complaint with the one I have is the "cheapo" remote it comes with.

For that price it's not too bad, obvious downsides are it's not 1080p (never expect it to be for that money anyway), and the contrast ratio is pretty bad.

But would you want a tv named after a lady garden or worse a terrible president! :-D
