These are brilliant quality, had it for 2 years and is still as good as new!
not dab+ perhaps?
Mains only & no headphone socket.
Apart from that, looks and apparently, sounds good.
Heat added as decent price for a stereo DAB .

Really doesn't matter for use in the UK, as we won't be adopting a new DAB standard anywhere near soon, this will be ancient by the time we do.

I can't see why the UK would waste money on implementing a new DAB standard or revision of it. Internet radio is the future and the networks are already in place and being upgraded. DAB is pretty much a failure for radio it's a badly implemented system with poor audio quality and reception for many users.

A truism sadly.

Internet radio is (currently) the way forward
I set up my own "internet radio" service. I've ripped almost all our CDs and having put tbe mp3's into directories by genre, I then created four main playlists, and then use icecast server and ices to shuffle each playlist.

Works quite well.

I play streams on my phone and also listen to podcasts by
plugging my phone into a Pure Dab+ set which has an AUX in mode.
Why do majority of DAB radios go for the crappy retro look and the ones that dont have £5 build quality? Nice to see it has stereo speakers. No surprise that DAB isnt taking off.
can this be used with external speakers? for a shop floor

Has no headphone socket, so no
I am afraid that mine is going back. The sound quality is OK for £20 but not good by any reasonable standard. If some think that this sounds good then I am not surprised that many consider DAB to be high quality. It isn't. The only reason that I am interested is to get access to channels that aren't on FM.
