Our fridge packed up yesterday and after a bit of searching I found this. Usual price is £129.99 plus delivery but it's £99.99 at the moment and delivery comes up free.
Also £99.99 at the sister store Argos but £8.95 delivery charge.

By far the cheapest full size fridge we could find, it's a 55cm wide one so not the 'slimline' ones that are normally bargain basement. It's £150 if you want express delivery!!

Good reviews too.

Haier rebadge. Made in china. Not too bad tbh. Had one sitting in the office for 12 months without issue. If it lasts 5 years, i'll be happy. No worse than current hotpoint/indesit offerings.
Exactly what I thought, no real point in paying over £200 for a Hotpoint when the parts come from the same place these days.

i really think hotpoint/indesit are really awful. My parents had a hotpoint for mroe years than they could remember so i thought i'd replace it with another hotpoint. Turns out standards have dropped greatly, it has been repaired near to 5 times in 1 year, and it is still leaking water every now and again. I really wish things were built to last as they used to be.
someone just voted cold, be interested to know why and where there is a cheaper fridge for sale..

Hotpoint owned by indesit/merloni these days. Mostly thrown together in Poland with sub standard parts. The haier models are as basic as they come and therefore less likely to fail. Fridges/freezers should be the most reliable domestic appliance you can buy. Stay away from fancy models with digital thermostats/displays and you should be fine.

Probably because its not samsung/apple/bosch..... some uneducated types think that everything with a bush brand must be cold.
My budget Frigidaire must be nearly 20 years old now. It still works but the door seals are falling to pieces, the icebox door is broken and the bottom of the door is starting to rust.
The dilemma is whether to replace it with something that might not last as long as the Frigidaire will soldier on for.
I don't suppose the Frigidaire will suddenly fail but I don't trust new fridges not to.

You can be sure, that if you replace it with this, by the time its knackered, it will have more than paid for itself in electricity savings.
cheers o/p, my 5 year old frigidaire went kaput last week, heat added
Price back to normal now. I'm desperate too, mine has just f*cked up.
Gone .. !!!??? :-(
