Got one of these from Sainsbury's for £10 a couple of years ago - they're not bad but mine no longer holds a charge

I got one of these a couple of months ago from Argos, returned it as the volume was really quiet.

Not sure if it was just the one I got, but just to make you aware.

    Good price though, voted hot

Interesting combination of circumstances that would leave you desperately needing a wind-up radio, torch, siren and phone charger. About as useful as those 'emergency' torches with multi-coloured flashing lights. Might be a good Christmas present for someone else's children though. Especially if the siren is good and loud.

LOL read this from Argos review
"The description of this product was wrong. It clearly stated, both online and in your brochure, that the product has MW/FM. I needed the MW for the cricket commentary (the radio was to be a christmas present for my boyfriend who is a cricket fan). It didn't. It has AM/FM. I was disappointed. "

how about for when you go camping?

I really could have done with this the August bank holiday weekend, as my fone battery died, and had no way to re-charge it.
I dont drive so couldent charge it via a car charger, and I was in the middle of the peak district... so, not the easiest place to find an electrical socket, besides which I forget the charger.

OR heaven forbid we get floods in certain places of the country again...

    In other words -
AM = MW, so the product description is correct.

The cricket is on LW, Long Wave, so no LW on a AM/MW radio.

Or alternatively you would have to get a DAB radio to listen to cricket on Radio 5 Sports extra if broadcast.

The Radio 4 LW signal is also broadcast on MW.

Got a similar one from Tesco a while ago. It works well and can take normal batteries but it doesn't have the siren or phone charger.

I have one of these is quite small and is £8.79 delivered.
It is just a wind up radio torch, but its easier to carry about
