kkthomaskif you must have some thing cheap, try this one that goes to 9kg. argos.co.uk/pro…987

the extra 2kg is very noticeable, for very little extra cost
no stock for my area on home delivery and none of others around that price. maybe have better luck in your area

but the energy costs rocket compared to this budget range, with myself on meters for everything. keeping down energy costs is for a vital importance for me tbh
welsh_andy the bigger the drum size the less often you have to do a wash.
Also it is harder to overload a machine with greater capacity
Or just keep your clothes on when you have a bath

actually this just came into stock for me so ordered, £120 for a washing machine is cheap in my eyes. though i do agree with what u say, not so much clothes in bath
welsh_andy where I have lived in the past 7kg has been popular with tight assed land lords
I now own a 9/10KG machine my self, the difference is very noticeable
7kg is probably enough for me, but that 9kg one is black So yeah, looking at the 9kg one instead.

Could split the difference with the 8kg model though, also in either black or white: argos.co.uk/pro…587

For some reason the 8kg uses less electric and water than the 7kg as well, making it the most efficient of the three sizes, how odd.

Just checked on Argos site and it states that there is a 90 deg cotton wash!
i have had the previous bush machine last year cant fault it ....take top off has all bosch gubbins inside :)))hot here
I wash at 30. What do you need 90 for?
nige182 good luck which ever one you have.
As you mention a color option, my black fridge-freezer was cheaper by enough to cover the delivery and leave a little over.

Have a look further up the thread, I have said quite properly that it is harder to overload a large drum than a smaller drum, and you can do the washing less often.

True it is harder to overload, but I am currently living alone and don't fancy having nothing to wear as it is all in the wash. I am currently running a 5kg Indesit WIE 167, which I got for free 6 years ago, but would have been about 5 years old then, any of these are larger than that.
nige182 don't let me influence you in any way.
I live alone as well.
The machine you have is clearly good, well done getting it for free. though from what you say is a good 10 years old.
I have enough clothes so as not to be a problem

To anyone who ordered before the £10 gift voucher promotion that started at Argos yesterday (free £10 voucher when you spend £100 or more), if you contact Argos and say you want to cancel (assuming not delivered yet) and that you want to reorder to get the £10 gift card promotion as well, they will most likely offer to just give you a £10 refund against this purchase instead, that is what I just got offered on my order.
