Was on the lookout for a new radio for the kitchen and came across this, looks fantastic, 7 postive 5 star reviews.

I wouldn't have bought this for £80, but £30 it may be worth it unless I hear different, I have just reserved one, so will wait to see if any of you luvlee people can add anything.

Brought this when it was £39.99..Good DAB radio and decent sound.

I also bought one of these at £39.99 I agree good radio.

This is a good price - though I prefer an iPod with a dock and TuneIn app for the pick of music radio stations around the world.

good deal, might be a good replacement for my ageing Onkyo.

People are really quick to knock products made by Bush, but if you're after anything for a tight budget then you can't go wrong - especially with the guarantee :-) hot from me

I'm from south Wales, and it's worth noting that many regional DAB multiplexes are closing, not only here but across England very soon, resulting in a major reduction of stations available on DAB. On the 29th of July I lost many of my favourite stations due to this 'restructuring', including XFM.

The following DAB multiplexes earmarked for closure are:

South Wales/Severn Estuary: 29 July 2013
Northeast England: 29 July 2013
West Midlands: 27 August 2013
Northwest England: 24 September 2013

I now only seem to get the BBC stations and a few others, such as Absolute Radio; significantly less than what I was able to receive before the 29th of July.

Keep this in mind if you're from the above areas.

This is the article about DAB regional transmitter closures.

It should also be noted that DAB radios for the UK don't work on the continent, as they use a different format! DAB radio in the UK is in a bit of a mess as decisions are made and then un-made about the future of digital signals. However the current DAB radios will continue to work for several years to come as once again the decision to switch to DAB+ has been deferred once whilst further industry consultation is being undertaken.

Got one myself. Was a Birthday prezzie and i love it!

Heat from me, well turned out bit of kit, tried and tested, and the price is very reasonable.

Yes I work in the radio industry and this sort of to-ing and fro-ing has been going on for decades. Dab development was so drawn out and poorly times we are now paying the price.

Thanks, reserved one. I have been looking for a good DAB radio for a while. Was tempted to go for a Pure internet radio. That was working out at about £100. In the end I decided to just go for this and use my iphone and a good external speaker for web stations. If this radio lasts 5 years it will get plenty of use and will be well worth the £30.

Good old Argos and the reason why you should base it on the current price, not how much of a 'saving' you have made on the RRP.

I noticed that too,in latest book it is £39.99 but argos are basing saving on the old book,in reality its a £10 saving and NOT £50 AS ARGOS WANT US TO BELEIVE!!

My black bush sounds good. Can't fault it for the price.

Get an internet radio and never look back. DAB arrived ten years too late.

Not me, I'm a big fan of Bush, more so recently, for a change.

Internet radio has its place. Which is not at the bottom of the garden. Or in a car. Or anywhere away from your house.

And how many sports events are not availabe on the internet equivalent of their broadcast station?

"Brought..." - LOL!

I have one, it's worth £30, it's not worth £80.

It's been at £29.99 many times before, even £22 once from Argos ebay outlet if you search for this radio on HUD ...

From what I read your dates for the NE and WM are switched and the multiplexes are closing to make way for local ones. This may or may not result in a huge reduction of stations available.

Bush radio for £80?? The brand must have moved up in the world...

Bush don't make anything - it's a once proud brand now owned by Argos and slapped on all sorts of electrical items of variable quality and origin.

I'm in West Gloucestershire I did loose some of the stations (e.g LBC) when I they closed down the Severn Estuary mux but did find some stations transfered over to the Cardiff/Newport multiplex which changed frequency and enlarged its service area (previously I couldnt pick the Cardiff/Newport multiplex) after the Severn Estuary mux closed down. Also there is a Gloucestershire and Herefordshire multiplex which is due to launch/start testing next month

Good point re sports events. Internet radio via your phone is becoming easier via tunein or specific station apps. Hopefully with the internet of things, cars will soon me online
