Oh great deal, got 3 toasters to take back from recent wedding pressies so will do a swap, nice! Love Bushmills, been to the distillery and everything, off now ....

Is this the malt or the blend?

hot either way

was this ever £26.?

Thanks for sharing..

this look like the blend which normally retails at about £13-£15 from memory? so still a good deal but not such a massive discount. Very nice tho!

Shelf edge label said down from about £12 something but looks a nice drop - hubby normally likes Grouse but this will be a nice change for him - got 2 bottles - one to celebrate the new grand daughter that arrived this morning and one to wrap up for christmas!

Depends on what you like but I'd say badly. At this price its ok as a cooking whisky...for hot toddies and when you don't want to use real stuff. I seem to remember it was pretty bland tbh.

I'd also like to know where this is on sale at nearly £27 - possibly Harrods.

It's your opinion of course, but I'd disagree strongly. Bushmills blends, both this and Black Bush, are superior to Scotch blends at equivalent prices, which are less characterful and have harsher finishes. Most blended scotch is only fit for mixers frankly. Scotch singles are another matter entirely though..... some glorious stuff there.

God I love whisky. And whiskey.

Was in Asda earlier & picked up a bottle, thanks.

They had quite a few specials on wine and whisky.
Aberlour Single Malt Scotch Whisky was £17, down from £23 (I think).
Also picked up 3 bottles of wine for a tenner

10 year stuff is 21.50 in Tesco at the moment which is a great price for it.

I agree there's only use for blends in mixers. Which is why I only drink single malts.

YMMV of course.

Having said that I'll pick a bottle of this up just for cold remedies.

£14.99 in Morrisons! Mmmmm this taste good; drinking some now as I type! :-D

If you like Jameson or JD you'll love this! Cracking price R+H added!

just been...as said above its only reduced from about £12.50 so nothing special....

asda are very sneaky sometimes...

they were selling the red bull copy for 33p each and now the great offer on rollback
is 43p each...so its gone up :whistling:

well it's like anything. Stick it next to a Dalwhinnie 15yr (sure, perhaps not the best out there, but a decent enough £30-35 bottle), and you'll see this pale in comparison.

That said, it's a third of the price.

Bottom line - if you sit around drinking garbage like Bells or Teachers, get this you will be far from disappointed. It's pleasant/smooth enough for its market. If you wouldn't normally touch a bottle under £20-25 then either don't get it, or just grab one or two for mixing purposes when you invite the philistines round.

Deal is fairly warm. Good price for what it is, but I can't see they would have ever sold a bottle for more than £15-16.

For the record, I can see the Jameson's comparison but this is as close to JD as Vodka is to Gin. Frankly it's probably better IMO, but don't go buying it expecting anything similar, this is Irish.

I prefer a Ginger bush myself:whistling:

Now that is a good deal! Have you posted here? link and I'll add a little heat.

Though TBH I have a nasty feeling it'd get sunk on this site by the "I can get cheaper, and it's basically the same as they're similar colour and ABV" brigade.

I just can't believe that there's not enough very good Scotch single malts around often at very good prices to have to buy this stuff for a few quid less.
