What is the benefit over a phone app?

A few of our group use free apps (I think even one has paid a little for one) and overall they are great value for money. The likes of Garmin ones are seen as more reliable and dependable. I've been using a Garmin one for many many years and I trust it impeccably. The only downside of the apps is their accuracy all the time is questionable - I've seen their variances first hand and their users often double check what the more dedicated devices are saying to confirm what their app says (they don't trust them 100% - neither would I, but given their free and almost always near accurate they are good value for the average golfer)

It's too big to fit the ball

Try and get the slope version if your funds will stretch

I use the Golfshot app on my phone. I find it accurate for my needs. My group has one of these bag things, a watch and a range finder. None of them are a match My advice, use what you like, but don’t listen to your partners!

I use the 'GolfPad' app and find it spot on.
