There's nothing like....a little gently pounding of the meat.......then a little slip, slap and sliding in the fat oO
What's a beef roasting joint? Can we not be trusted to know what to do with particular cuts?
Not a deal if you ask me. Not to mention their beef roasting joints are very poor cuts/quality so think il pass

It's instore only at Market Street - does say in the op
Slightly overpriced chicken, but ~50%+ saving on the joint.
Though no mention of what cut it is?
Doesn't seem like such a good deal to me? More of a marketing ploy? You have to want exactly these three items in exactly these quantities (I suspect some people might think a 900g beef joint is a bit small to make a good roast)? Also, not sure I like the idea of having one package with chicken and beef together (makes it harder to freeze anything individually plus increases risk of cross contamination).

The price does seem quite good for the three together - perhaps £1 - £2 less than buying the items individually at Aldi - but you'd have to use all three items and you are sacrificing a lot of choice for that little win.

Not voting this cold - just think people should think a bit about it before being seduced by the marketing surrounding this "butchers pack" (meat pack!). LOL.
Not that good of a deal...

500g chicken = £2
500g steak mince = £3
900g joint = £6
I've noticed my post from yesterday was deleted, can I just ask why mods felt the need to get rid of it?

I'm assuming it's because I pointed out that most Morrisons stores do not use halal meat, as another person claimed (his post has also been deleted) However I was simply informing as this is something that some people may find influences their decision whether to buy a product or not (in fact someone did say they weren't aware that Morrison's uses halal meat (they generally don't unless in certain stores, in which case it will be clearly marked) which was also deleted, and was the reason why I thought I should inform anyone else reading this)

I am not entering into a debate on here about whether or not halal meat is acceptable, but I simply wanted to help people get correct information. This post will probably be deleted as well judging by my previous one, but if it is can the mod who does please message me to explain why?

For people wondering what the beef joint is, it's Top Rump, which may not be the best cut but it's good value, and if it's cooked slowly it will still come out well. Or alternatively it can be diced for some nice lean stewing beef.

The chicken is wrapped up separately in the pack to prevent cross contamination.

It's not the greatest bargain of the century, but it is still relatively good value if you actually want the three items in the pack. I look at it as similar to the 3 for £10 deal, the diference of course being that while you cant chose what different products you get, you also can't usually get a beef joint in the 3 for 10. Swings and roundabouts really
their chicken is of poor quality
What % fat is the mince?
Not a great deal, priced about normally just packaged together.

What % fat is the mince?

It should be around 5% as it's made from 95VL beef trim (VL stands for visual lean, meaning it has been judged by eye to be around 95% meat)
