Thought this was worth a mention. The Christmas fantasy breaks seem to have some decent reviews. Inlcludes Santa, Christmas pantomine, live reindeer.

It's for the 19th - 22nd December

Use the link to get the extra £20.12 off to take it too above price.

I'm sure it cost us more to go to the panto last yr. I know it's not everyones cup of tea but we throughly enjoyed our stay at Easter

Have been before, they never sell out and the price plummets as you move into December. Think, although memory isn't great that the post xmas pre new year period is also worth a look - again was very cheap.

Finally after you've booked ring and see about an upgrade to your accom, we did and it was literally few quid and well worth it.

This is Silver, last time we stayed in standard with a sun deal and it was alright - Everything was clean albeit outdated. It's a base to rest our sleepy heads

I agree, just info for ppl that might not have been before - can't hurt getting upgraded for a few ££. Vaguely remember one of the tiers not even having a kettle or was it a MW? I'd go again - the last time we went to skegvegas Butlins it snowed horrendously and I had great fun getting my BMW over there after work to meet up with everyone else who had gone in the morning. The kids had an amazing time there - Snowmen, snowball fights and swimming were the order of the day.

Standard doesn't have a MW apparently. I don't like them personally. There does seem to be alot on and given the price i think it would cost us more to stay home. Panto tickets, seeing santa, swimming, funfair etc. Hopefully it will be lots calmer than being at home in the run up to the big day
Pitty I'm a family of 6, went last year when it was 5 when an offer was on and the kids loved it heat added for price
if going to skeggy check if the pool will be open,
Is it not 3 nights?
If you've never been, it's a great weekend, we've done the Christmas fantasy 3 times (in the hotel though, prefer a bit more luxury in the winter) only problem is, if you've been before the programme doesn't change much, just a different panto but the shows, seeing santa, etc., is all the same.

Yes it is!! My mistake - we will have to leave after the 2nd night!
Heat added, that's a great deal. Was even less for me as have a one-year old so didn't need the fourth bed. Gota hag on to see if hubby agrees, just hope there's still spaces left when we find out if he can get the time off!

Voted hot

They've flattened the pool at Skegness so i don't think it will be there yet as there building a new one that won't be open until next year.

I bet you went same time i went it was first time id been Butlins at Xmas 2 years ago i think it was and there was loads snow even signs was covered in it on the roads thank god for satnav ! lol i was driving a Lexus IS so it'd be rear wheel drive like a BMW.

As for the rooms i think every room has at least a kettle it would be a microwave that there wouldn't have been if its not a self catering room

OK, if you don't mind the company of Sun Readers and Butlins lovers ...... they can be an aquired tatse, think Tattoo's and Rings through broken noses - and a gutter language to go with it - and that's just the women!!!!!!!

Oh right id just been reading the random threads and seen photos such as here which just gave me the impression it was new as it looks closer too the main road and the sun and moon.

No, I know that Butlins is second to Haven in the Chav stakes
Fab price. I booked for 137 , going to phone to see if they will match the price or upgrade me. Children loved it last year and its cheaper than going to our local pantomime. To be honest if you add up all of the free activities and entertainment; fair, pantomine, winter wonderland, swimming, play area etc the holiday is free ! ;-)

I can't book til thursday, so you think it's possible it could get even cheaper if I wait til next weekend? On the site it says some of the price offers are only valid til Tuesday...

Thats built on part of the outdoor pool, the main pool is to the right its still open and will join up with the new part, if you look in the pic below the main pool is still there (large circle), to the top right is the part being built now in your photo, they have got to join the 2 together at some stage and the main pool would have to be closed when they do this, that's why its worth checking just in case it or part of it will be closed

How much was it for you? Have a one year old and its not coming up any cheaper
Same price still applies if you book by 4th of December. I wonder if the price will go down further for anyone waiting til the last minute?

Booked self catering. Does anyone know if I can call to book meals later (and whether I'd be able to get any cheaper than the website price?).

Can't wait for Christmas now - will be a lovely surprise for the kids!

I think the meals are a standard price, there not bad but i wouldn't do it again. It felt a bit like a cattle market, Tesco is just around the corner. There is a few eatery places on site, A burger king, Nando's type place, pizza hut (Print vouchers before you go) fish and chip shop.

I must be honest, i'm really looking forward to taking the children
