Wow, just bought some supplements a few minutes ago from Simply Supplements and still appear to beat the prices of Holland & Barrett, even when their prices are BOGOHP. Got 27.5% cashback from Quidco too.

Others worth trying are:

ZipVit

Healthspan

damn just bought some om3 capsules last week

Great for stocking up on stuff that never appears in their endless sales!

Friend at work bought Creatine capsules for £14.99 a few weeks back, these capsules are now £29.99 buy one get one half price so 2 packs cost £14.99 more in this deal.

I have NEVER seen even one day when they don't have a sale. Just like the permanent DFS sales. These types of 24/365 sales have ruined the whole concept and fun of sales. Lol.

Popped in and picked up some protein bars - good deal!

thanks - was worried i was posting something that was store specific - even though i put it in the top people don't always read it all

Hmmm bought some stuff from them last week and they seem to have amazingly doubled in price - hence making the offer seem like it is good. Wonder if the price will go back down when the offer is finished.

Bit of a rip off store if you ask me.Went to get some vit c,zinc and cod liver oil earlier and they were about £7 more expensive than Sainsburys.Makes me laugh when you see the ad and the guy says "You wont find this deal elsewhere",no because others are doing buy one get one free or 3 for the price of two.And like others say, they always seem to have a sale, especially when they have just put up their prices.Sorry but not hot for me.

Good price on nuts, as most supermarkets don't do big value packs :-)

This has been advertised on the TV for the last 4-5 weeks,so not much of a surprise

Funnily enough, I noticed that with Artichoke tabs - now a whopping £14!! Thought there must be a world shortage or something!

Priced 908g tins of Soya Protein the day before £12.99, waited until the BOGOHP I was charged approx £24.... asked the girl how come? she said the price went up that morning to £15.99 per tin. She was very embarrassed. Maybe a bit cynical but I think trading standards should look at this one. She red-faced said that she believed that all Protein/Soya products were going up......hmmmmmm

Mmm, this post inspired me to look elsewhere for the aforementioned Artichoke tabs (£14 in H&B) and they're available at £6.50 elsewhere!!!! oO
For the past year i've been buying from H&B un-questioningly and i'm now left wondering what the heck I was thinking of. I checked the spec of the offerings from both outlets, as not all such things are alike, but arguably the £6.50 offering is better quality.

They do have frequent sales, but usually they're tailored at particular products and not across the range, as this one is. Still, bearing in mind all of the posts above, including my own, i'd go elsewhere - they're taking the ****!

You bought from H&B for a year without noticing how expensive the stuff (often) is? Weird. They sell things that aren't commonly sold elsewhere, so they can be useful for some things. I'd rarely expect a bargain there though.

I Now only buy from iherb.com, its a USA company, dirt cheap prices, also they post the package for $4, yes a 3 pounds (1.5kg) package from the US to the UK. My packages arrive within 1-2 weeks.

The weird thing is, on all my packages, the price paid for USPS delivery is about $12-15 dollars, so they make a serious loss.

Also, if you do use the website, remember to click on the category ''Free'' (its on the top of the page). You can select small trial products for free, protein bars, coffee packets, pills...etc..

Also, if your a first time buyer, use this code to get $5 off first purchase

I always use the awesome website to purchase much higher quality cheaper zinc, vitamin D than available in the UK, they also sell so many products which can't be bought here at reasonable cost, but are cheap in the USA.

Does anyone know what are some other places selling vitamins? I am looking for Niacin (Vitamin B3) in 500mg doses..

I know ppl are knocking H&B but the one thing I noticed in my local shop is that they are very well informed of their products and can give good advice for any concerns you may have. But hey we could end up with another pound shop in the high street.

@downloader, you probably won't find 500mg b3, since its way past its RDA in UK, your best bet it to buy online, or you could buy it from H&B, i think they sell a 100mg pack, and take 5 tablets at once, but either way your gonna flush like crazy, unless you buy non-flushing kind.

I have also used iherb to buy vitamins and my items were delivered within 7 days.

Speaking of pound shops, I was in Pound Land the other day and they were selling vitamins. They had a few different types including vitamin c and echinacea, not sure how much they were though LOL.

I had an email offer from H&B recently - 30% off on web orders until october 21st. This is on top of the buy on, second 1/2 price offer. If anyone wants to give this a go, I think that the voucher code HBA103B may work.

Brilliant - thank you!

I was in the Camden branch yesterday and another customer told me that the Bilberry tablets she buys had gone up £2 since last week, they shouldne be allowed to get away with this!
