If you buy 3 Amazon Echo Dots you get 1 free with code DOT3PACK. Add 3 to basket and use code at check out. The code has been active in the past for £20 off a 3 pack, it was discontinued when the price was reduced to £34.99 each. Now an even better deal as works out at £33.33 each. Great to use for multi-room speaker control for those who want use existing speakers rather than purchase Sonos etc.

I think it would be clearer if you wrote: 2+2 is 4 minus 1 that's 3 quick maths!
I think it would be more clearer to write buy two and get one free in title.
No probs everyone, it's easy enough to see what the deal is once read.

Except you need add 3 to your basket to get 1 free. If you add 2 to your basket you get 2 and pay for 2 and don't get 1 free.

You are late to join the party
Google home is better
Do these have an output, so you can connect a better speaker?

I have The Echo & it is terrible at finding stations. I would say it gets one in 20 correct, unless you ask for radio 2 or similar. It doesn't matter if you speak slow or fast.

Once you get it going, but the "Okay Google" hotword is HORRIBLE to say.

Plus Home doesn't do audiobooks, if that's something you needed a smart speaker for (which I did).

Ultimately I've got Home myself, but Alexa made a better gift for family. Both have room for improvement.

Not really they just are better
I thought they had permanently dropped to £34.99 - was excited thinking £70 for 3

Good deal was £35 before Christmas but everyone sold out and now are £49.99 so this is a good deal just bought 3, even if you only want one you could sell other 2 for £40 each easily
Thank you, i've hung on to wait and see if I could get a good deal on three so this perfect!

You are right it does sound a bit silly sayin ok Google to start it, still better than the dot in my opinion. I have both and the sound quality on the dot is awful. The Google has a very loud powerful speaker for such a small thing

In my case it's a good deal, I was waiting for this as want to use the multiroom speaker facility around the house so needed 3 more. Horses for courses.
Perhaps the title could read ‘buy two, add a third for free’.

I'm not sure you could easily get £40 each for them now, been too many offers. The only place you might would be eBay, but you'd end up with early £30s after fees etc.

Other than the speaker quality what makes you prefer the Google Home over Echo? I’m already using Sonos speakers throughout the house so neither compare with that on sound quality, what features stand out? Have you got it setup with smart devices

I find that Google Home understands things better and I also think that the home and the mini look better but that's just me personally. Your best bet is to use a comparison chart and choose which one works best with your existing smart home equipment (if you have any) Also If you already have decent speakers in every room then only go for the home mini or the dot as the only main difference is the size! (1 or 2 differences but nothing I find that useful)
Why would someone want more than 1? It’s enough listening to the Mrs, kids, tv, 1 Smart speaker.....
