This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

You should be a student to get this, however, it looks like you don't need to be from other deals posted.

Through the link provided, you can get a 15 month NUS extra/TOTUM card for the price of a 12 month card (3 months free) plus free home delivery.

Why would you want one? Well, you can get:
  • 10% off at the Co-op
  • Access to Amazon prime Student (6 months free then £3.99 thereafter)
  • 20% off at bulldog online
  • 10% off at Acala
  • 15% off Lookfantastic
  • 20% off Mankind
  • 15% off Sally Beauty in-store and online
  • Discounts at eateries (Belgo, Carluccio's, Chiquito, Domino's, Frankie & Benny's, Prezzo, Sponge, Zizzi etc)
  • Discounts at Alton towers, Blackpool tower, Blackpool pleasure beach, Go ape, Legoland, London eye etc.
  • International discounts (e.g. I used it at Dubrovnik city walls and got 75% off adult price)
  • Plus other discounts

You can find out more information about each discount (terms+conditions etc) and other discounts that are available through this link:
nus.org.uk/en/nus-extra/discounts/

How do I get this deal?

You should be a student and a member of one of the organisations (some if which you can join).

1) Put your email address in the box and press "Buy or renew your card today"
2) On the next page put one of the below organisations in the box "Place of Study". You really should be a member of one of the listed organisations (however it is not a requirement). You may find that you are actually a member of one them as the list is fairly long. Additionally, you could always join one of the organisations.

  • Broadcast, Entertainment, Cinematograph and Theatre Union (BECTU)
  • Community - The Union
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW)
  • Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE)
  • Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb)
  • Chartered Institute of Highways & Transportation (CIHT)
  • Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH)
  • Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS)
  • Institute of Paralegals (IOP)
  • Unity the Union
  • Teaching Union (Voice)
  • Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers (USDAW)
  • Nautilus the Union (NTU)
  • CWU - Communication Workers Union

There are many more, so you can try an organisation you are part of, and see if they appear in the box.

3) Put education details in. The default dates are standard university course start and end dates (I would have thought you would need to put in dates that have already commenced - ie to show you are a current student - but I am not entirely sure about this).
4) On the "Your card" page, make sure all the details are correct, then click continue.
5) Submit a photo (upload a photo from your device or from Facebook), you get a preview of what it will look like on your card and when your happy press continue.
6) Put in your details - email address, your name, date of birth, delivery address etc. - then press continue.
7) Confirm your details are all correct and the deal has applied. Choose your card design and then press "confirm and pay"
8 ) Pay by Card or PayPal

Not really, Student Unions and Organisations get a commission from every card sale if they are affiliated with NUS Extra/Totum so they get a nice kick back and you get a card... Win win!
Already have a hotukdeals nus extra card membership, so already get discounts on all listed above, so can't see any reason for me paying for nus totum, or am I missing something

The NUS extra card and totum are the same thing it's just the latter is the new name. So I think, if I understand correctly, you already have this card just under a different name.

Can you still get a free McDonald's McFlurry (with meal) with the NUS Card?
Thanks.

True but if you are student, the money you save from the free delivery and 3 months free, could be used to join one of the unions/organisations and get this deal legitimately. This way many organisations would benefit

Good timing, found out last night that Garmin have up to 40% off some items but I can't see what the discounts are without an NUS card.

It’s worth noting that the Totum card requires you to download their app to get discount codes to use when shopping online, however, you have to register with a uni email address to validate your registration (and then log in to app to gain codes)........unless anyone knows a way around this?
youll be fine using a Totum card in store

Just use the nus extra website.
nus.org.uk/en/…ra/
It's a bit ridiculous really, people don't stop learning (being a student) when they stop actually being a student at school or university and some may also end up being as poor as students
Does anyone know what the cheapest way to become a student and eligible for one of these cards is? seem to remember there was some creative writing course to sign up for somewhere.

You don't need to do one of those courses. You can sign up using one of the organisations listed and then put in some info about a course, pick a displine and start date. Plus, with this offer, you can't sign up the usual way, it has to be with one of the organisations listed.
I can't find a way to get one without being a student as they say you will need to collect from your place of study Any ideas guys I really want a card

May want to delete this as your address is visible. You never know.
I’m so stupid! I’ve just signed up for the card but didn’t change the start date, now I’m not “starting” my course until sept 2019. I wonder what will happen with the card(confused)
