Accepted new M&S Bank cardholders can get a free £25 to spend in its stores on almost anything (incl clothes and food) if you follow the steps below. It's split into two parts...

£20 in M&S pts. Awarded the first time you use the card anywhere for any amount within 90 days

£5 M&S vch. You're sent a coupon with the card. Swipe it or use online with your card to buy most things at M&S for any amount and you get another £5 of points.

DETAILS

Free M&S £25 if you use a credit card once. Newbies accepted for the M&S Bank credit card (eligibility calc / apply*) can get 2,000 bonus M&S pts, worth £20, if they buy anything within 90 days, even a 20pence thing, in any store, not just M&S. Plus, you're sent a vch you can swipe at the till (or use online) at M&S when spending there on the credit card to get 500 bonus M&S points, worth £5.

So buy an M&S banana and, hey presto, you've made £25. Ensure you repay the card IN FULL to avoid interest, and continue to do that if you use it again to earn more points, though you could just cancel once you have the £25. See full M&S card analysis (19.9% rep APR interest).

Cold for this reason alone.
Thanks
New customers only. Thanks, for reminding me, I need to cancel my existing card. M&S fraudsters butcher existing customers. Existing customers need to be paying for new customers. Phillipines call centre in M&S will be happy again. Mahal Kita

There must be some confusion.
A UK Post Graduate would know all about plagiarism, referencing and citation. Maybe HUKD moderated their post ya cynic!

So you're going to cancel your card then re apply?
You do know your credit score gets a hit every time you apply for a credit card don't you? mine went down with Equifax from 999 to 940ish and it's taken 4 months to rise back up after I got a Halifax Clarity credit card which I've yet to use.

Your credit score is a meaningless number that isn't seen by potential lenders and exists only so Equifax can sell you stuff. Each situation is different and @sam_of_london said nothing about re-applying anyway, but do not stick with a poor product or be afraid to cancel in favour of a better deal just because of some made up numbers. I also wouldn't take out a credit card to make a pathetic £25 in vouchers either but that's another thing entirely.

Credit Score is a meaninglessness and a made up number? Genius

Yup, a potential lender will score you based on their lending criteria, not Equifax's. The place you pinched this from has an article on the topic moneysavingexpert.com/loa…re/ and forums full of people asking why they were declined for product x or y despite a 'perfect score'. Happy to discuss if you have more than just sarcasm to offer?

I definitely wasn’t quick to comment, you posted it 9 hours ago and there was no judgement. Apologies if you took it that way.

Why didn’t you credit MSE like I said just after you posted it, having a go at someone hours later after changing your username which someone also took the mick out of is poor showing. Most people don’t post MSE deals as the majority on here see them already.
