Samsung are doing a deal that will see you receive a free 16gb memory, content and apps worth £65 if you have brought/buy a Galaxy S3 or Galaxy Note 2 between the 5th April until the 30th April.

The process seems very similar to the Samsung cashback offer that was going before Christmas and that paid me without any hassles.

Enjoy :-)

This deal is available to contract phones aswell as sim free

Does anybody not think the S3 should considerably drop in price shortly after the S4 is released?
I'm looking to get rid of my iP4S as fed up of Apple products.
Can't decide between an S3 or Nexus 4?... (Impressed with my new Nexus 7)
Sorry to crash your post, but I know people love to give their advice/opinions on gadget posts.

Don't do it dannymull!

Android Is excellent these days but after coming back to iPhone, I'm of the firm belief that nothing matches up to the user experience of iPhone.

I had the S3 and its great from a geeky/tinkering point of view. But the iPhone is much faster at performing basic tasks, and the s3 kept slowing down over time, like a windows pc!

Cheers, will reconsider. The Misses has an S3 & it seems faster than mine + iPhone 'drops out' (call failure) during calls, which drives me crazy!!
May look at the i5 again.

Could just be network reception in your area. Look at the network's website, they usually have a "signal checker" to see what signal you should get.

I got my son a S3 last Tuesday so this is a great bonus, thanks. I got his (he paid for) TAB 2 for £195 at Xmas with £50 cashback = £145 so Samsung are now getting some love from me.

Go for the S3 mate! It's better in every way, it's just that people don't like the looks.

well, it is £448 on amazon
amazon.co.uk/gp/…J6/

and £431 if you go for the grey one
amazon.co.uk/gp/…SIW

Awesome thanks so much for that! My new S3 has just arrived so perfect timing heat!

do you reckon this works with affordablemobiles?

Are apps included? Looks like you get music or game, video

Although they are fulfilled by Amazon, the former is a grey import from HK, the latter has poor feedback which means one should question where the stock comes from. As a result I doubt either purchase would be eligible.

what a load of rubbish...over time even the iphone will slow down esp after loads of iphone updates

starsi360

i had a iphones for 3.5 years and found the opposite was true apple phones slowdown massively after 12mths

I had been using Nexus 4 for a month, just bought S3 been using it for couple of days, S3 can b bit laggy from app to app. I dont find it as smooth as Nexus 4. Im waiting for Google I/O where they might announce Nexus 5 and i think that will b a wicked phone. Probably because i am a big fan of Pure Android since Nexus One.

oh btw abt the deal its Hot . Thnx

Thanks gona bruy this.

The problem with the SIII and Note Etc is they are rammed with bloat from Samsung
The first thing i did on my Note and my Son's SIII LTE was remove about 30 system apk's

Everything wants to run on startup
Everything wants to run when you plug a charger in
Everything wants to run when you do this and that etc.

I use an app called autostarts on my rooted phone's and cut these rogue apps down to size

The only one thats not playing ball is youtube since a few updates ago you can remove its startup rights
and next time you manually start it, it reinstates them its self

Thanks "starsi" for confirming what I always knew. iPhone is just so simple and fast. Android starts to slow Down after some time.

just bought a second hand GN2, will let you know if worked.

If you're happy with a non removable battery and no mSD Card slot than go for the Nexus 4.

Very good price, nice looking hardware and has excellent internals. Also none of that bloatware some Android phones will get you.

It really matters what type of user you're, but if you want more functionality out of your phone than an Android device is second to none in that department.

OK, quick history - had iPhone 4, got Galaxy SII, hated Galaxy SII so sold it, got 4S from work, and iPad, now using a Nexus 4.

I wanted to love my SII but couldn't stand it. Eventually got bored of Apple and fed up of them taking the mickey out of customers (£30 for an adaptor that should be free? Go jump). Tried a nexus 7 in a shop and was impressed with the interface, so took my chances with the N4. Aside from the camera, I think it is fantastic.

I think the reason I couldn't get on with the SII was because of the Samsung TouchWiz interface they slap on top of Android. Because of that, I am put off of buying the Samsung kit. Pure Android is the way to go. May be worth waiting to see what the successor to the N4 is since it has been out almost six months, but if you like the interface of the N7 and can't wait I highly recommend the upgrade

Unfortunately that's all true...that's why I froze so many Samsung services on my S3 to avoid this. Still didn't do much tbh! I was lucky to get 300mb free RAM when I booted up.

im not just saying it s3 is a great phone

Note ii gives you a bit more overhead with slowing down, due to 2gb ram. S3 has 1gb, the LTE version S3 has 2gb, S4 will have 2gb.

Received my Note2 today, thanks to deal on here. It is awesome. Update to JB 4.2 straight away. I also put the link to this deal/freebie into all recent S3 and Note 2 deals. Maybe i should have posted it. But didn't even get any credit for it! Ta

People got the wrong idea that you need to have a lot of free RAM on Android.
It's a different concept, android tries to keep things in RAM based on the principle that free RAM is wasted memory.
Only when more memory is requested, it shuts down something to free some.
However, having to do that too often is not a good thing, either, so you need a decent enough RAM size, 1GB is more then enough right now. Having 300MB free RAM confirms this.

Bought this Phone yesterday and did not even know about this deal. Glad I just had a quick look on here. Have now sent off for promotion offer. Thanks for letting people know this offer.

I've never used a samsung phone, but all the people unhappy with TouchWiz can't they just download a different launcher like Apex Launcher - it is just another app from the Market and one of the advantages of Android that you can do this easily in the first place

Nexus 4; FAR more powerful, if you can live with not removing batteries or no SD card slot... so Nexus 4.

Quoted for truth. Android uses ram differently than a PC. And 1gb is more than enough both at the moment and for the next few years.

Is the OS keeping it free for paging or readiness to launch other apps though? Phones with 512mb ram are painfully slow.

Just checked on my Tab 2 and free ram constantly moves, leaving at least 210mb free.
