# buy a scratchcard and win even if you dont win - National Lottery

Found 19th Dec 2008
this may not be for everyone but gonna post it anyway

wife came out of asda tonight with her normal 2 scratchcards(2 every friday night after shopping).the one was 1 iv never seen before "super cash bonus" cost £2.00.

the idea is the more £ symbols you uncover the more you win 5 = £4 ,6= £6 ,7= £8 you get the idea.but if you uncover none you still win £2.00 so you buy it yes it cost you £2.00 but you are gonna get that back anyway so gonna cost you nothing and you can win up to £50.000 (yes its xmas and a miracle may happen lol).just thought some one may get lucky on it

Sounds good I will investigate on Sundayy!
Heat added and repped ( pressed enter by mistake so the description of the rep may seem weird)

Yes but is there a minimum £ symbol, ie you probably need 2 £ to win so if only 1 £ sign shows it means you dont win anything.

If you get 1 - 4 £ symbols you lose.
They're not daft these people.
Waste of money.

COLD COLD COLD

if u get 1, 2 or 3 u win nothing its if u get 0 u win £2 then upwards

its ur standard scratchcard

exatly ^^, that mean there just giving money away. and the Nation lottery just dont do that

So if you always get your £2 back if you don't win you could keep buying another until you get a winner or bought up all of Asdas stock of them!! Excellent.

What do you get for 1, 2 or 3 pound signs? Maybe that is where you lose....hence 99% of them are printed with one of these and 1% with none = £2 refund!

Am I sounding skeptical enough? lol

read it again if u get 1, 2 or 3 u win nothing its if u get 0 u win £2 … read it again if u get 1, 2 or 3 u win nothing its if u get 0 u win £2 then upwards its ur standard scratchcard

you dont win if you get 1-4 £ signs

Guess the downside is if u get 1,2,3 or 4 £ symbols then you get nothing ? Thats how I'm reading it anyway. Good Luck to all who give it a go.... may still invest in 1 or 2 myself!

As your prizes seem to begin at 5 stars, maybe you get your money back if you have no stars, but most cards have a low number of stars (1 or 2 etc) that you get nothing for?

edit: lol, we all saw it coming eh?

It sounds like a marketing ploy to me..... because on first hearing this, most people have assumed that they cannot lose! SUCKERS!

There is always a catch though...... they just like to hide the small detail and tell people they will get a refund if they lose (zero pound signs). I guarantee most cards will have between 1 - 4 stars!

I think you are better off investing in sub prime debt

Jedi mind tricks dont work here. Voted cold

There is a 1 in 11 chance of winning £2 so in theory you could spend £22 before winning your £2 back:?

Wow...

I can not understand the stupidity of some people...

This thread is a shocking example of how gullible some people can be..

Indeed, now i understand why bags of peanuts need the "may contain nuts" warnings.

as for the rest of you who it appears only read posts so you can **** the person who posted item off..a simple question...why bother to read it when the header clearly says "THIS MAY NOT BE FOR EVERYONE"??

why dont you just read it and say no thats not for me or is that to simple..or heres an even better idea.try doing a few deal posts because after all it is a site to post deals...not a site to have a pop at people

The header should say 'THIS IS NOT A DEAL'
So just to explain properly, what exactly happens if you get say 2 x £ signs? As you said yes it cost you £2.00 but you are gonna get that back anyway so gonna cost you nothing, what do you get back if you don't get zero £ signs or 5+ exactly?

Thats not a 'pop' at you, but if anyone posts a deal and theres a major flaw in it then it's going to be mentioned!

I am having a pop at ebay on the misc forums, well not ebay, just some plonk leaving me a negative after over 1000 positives..

I am however more concerned I have a hotukdeals stalker...... Watching my previous posts...

I don't really think you have thought through your original post (This thread).
Losing tickets are ones showing 2, 3, 4, signs. Winning ones show 1, 5,6 etc...

All lottery tickets are programmed, and NOT random, they have a set number of winners per game resulting in predicted payouts..
I, like others are worried that your post saying losing tickets are £2 winners could be miss leading to other drones out there thinking this is some sort of deal??

Do you not get it yet??

look just leave it

people on here can make there own choices...they wanna buy a card they do,they dont wanna buy a card they dont..

all any one has to say in comment is yes good deal or no its a bad deal..there is no need for any one to have a pop at any deals just cause they dont like it..

its the same as some one leavein you neg on e-bay,you could not see why they did it.the same as i carnt see why people have to leave neg comments on the posts on this site

so lets just agree to disagree on this one.

Sorry your taking the posts so personal, and sorry bout the comments, should have just pointed out that the deal is not correct, you have a 1 in 4.39 chance of winning as you state.
Merry Christmas.:)

The total value of prizes in the initial print run of Tickets for the Game represents 63.82% of the total face value of Tickets.

You state above that 'yes it cost you £2 but you are gonna get that back anyway'
erm dont think so if you happen to get 1, 2, 3 or 4 £ signs!

Terry is right, He did say it is not for everyone..... It is just for Wazucks who like himself believe the marketing spin that companies give to make easy money from the 'oh, I can't lose so lets buy a roll of 500 and I will never lose.......' mentality!

They were clearly the people who Terry was suggesting this deal was for...... not those of us who know better! Perhaps he has a test to identify his audience, you never know!
