Can't understand all the cold votes. You could put the Standard driver and a hybrid in the direct-golf.co.uk website right now and it would come to £328.

I'm over the moon with this find, if the cold voters could point me in the direction of a better deal for these 2 clubs then please do and maybe I wouldn't be so smug! haha

most people on this site are the people who raid the reduction aisle at 8pm and can't afford to play golf

i don't play golf but voted hot anyway cause tiger woods is good with the ladies

is it an in store deal? if not then cold because you'd needed custom fitting

This is an in store and online deal. Best driver on the market. Best selling too.

hot for me great find

Not as good as an rbz imo. Still a very good deal though, hot.

This is a great deal. My son bought this on Tuesday.

I can afford to play golf because (in part) I do raid the reductionaisle at 8pm. Sounds like I wouldn't be the sort your club admits?

What difference does this make ?

Anyone seen any good deals on the R1 black or white or the Covert? Can only really see them at RRP most places. Think one place had the Covert for 199 at the moment.

If you have to pay over the top prices for a club then, sorry to surprise you, you're not at good at golf as you think.

The elitist attitude of many golfers is exactly why some people don't play it. Who wants to go on a round with pretentious, stuck up ball whackers who think the dearer the club the more exclusive they are.

I very rarely play golf but I do enjoy it. There is no need for the attitude of players.

Voted hot purely because it is a good saving, even though I would t spend that much on a club.

I'd be embarrassed to own one of these clubs as I whack it 100 yards out of bounds. Much better to do that with a far cheaper club.

nice one

Good find, won't be buying one as nothing wrong with my driver, but anyone who's after a new driver great price. hot .

Why is everyone suddenly attacking Golfers as elitist?

Read the quote again from the person who offended you...! They don't play golf..!

Maybe the comment touched a nerve?

So all the Golfers on the PGA Tour are not as good at golf as they think?

You'll struggle to find deals on Taylormade gear until next year when they bring out the SLDR and it's the next biggest thing.

You'd be better getting an R11 or RBZ and spending the rest of your money on lessons. Probably best spending all the money on lessons but confidence is key in golf, if you don't feel confident with your current sticks a change may help in the short term.

The mass generalisations on here are hilarious. Jealousy is an ugly trait people!

Pitsey you talk much more sense than most

Great deal on this particular club if your in the market for one.

golf isn't for those gypsies

im not gonna lie mate, you've got a nice shaft

I paid £50 for a full set of New Dunlop clubs

Don't need to spend any more money on equipment, but a good deal non-the-less. The Covert was £199 at Direct Golf I believe, and to DappaDonDave, you're right about the lessons, but they soon add up too!

Praying this offer is still on for Payday in 2 weeks!

I take your point but my current driver is 11 years old now so whilst I agree that year to year the changes are minimal, there is a decent enough change from then that I'm happy going for the current generation. Especially if I'm going to be hanging on to this for a decent length of time again. It's not that I don't feel confident with my current driver, just that on the simulators I found I was getting a reasonable enough gain in distance to justify getting this.

The greatest development in golf has been the ball, equipment actually has a lot less impact when it comes to distance.

Thanks for posting OP. Ordered an 11.5 degree driver and 25 degree hybrid, looking forward to testing them out at the driving range. May also interest some to know I clicked through Quidco and it gave me a 5% off orders over £100 code as well as 5% cashback, bringing it to £189.05 before cashback.

Use code GOLF5.

Please edit the deal and perhaps update price to help others!

Thanks, i have updated. Hopefully i've done it right

Voted hot. Good deal if you are looking to upgrade you're driver. I bought a Taylormade stage 2 recently for £190, but if this offer was on the go at the time then for £10 more I would have went for this.

I had my first round of golf with the driver yesterday, brilliant straight shots with lots of distance without much effort. As I get more confident with it and put power into my shots this will easy go 300+ yards. Very happy and can't wait to go out again!

Bought it yesterday, carrying the hybrid 19 deg 230 yards on the monitor and 200 with range balls.
Driver is landing out the back of my range.

I tried out a covert driver and didn't like it at all, very happy with this as my first driver, roll on my first round with it Thursday
