After 2 months you should cancel (it will let you watch the 3rd month), then get cheap passes off eBay if you'd like to continue the subscription.

This box works on both WiFi and Ethernet.

This box has to be connected to the TV aerial as well.

Nope, mine works fine, we don't have an aerial. but to use Iplayer and some other catchups you will need it to be tuned in and connected to an aerial.

Aw, ok sorry. I bought one from the Currys deal a couple of weeks ago and it said to connect it to the tv aerial. I returned the box as I had thought I would get BT Showcase with it but I didn't.

Thank you. I visited the Argos website and it mentioned ethernet.
Gonna buy my mum a new tv and I might get this for my aging tv, as long as takes a scart.
My mum wouldn't use it.

Does it have scart please?

These boxes don’t have Scart ports (well mine doesn’t at least).

No notice required & can be cancelled in couple of clicks on their website once logged into your account.

Best to cancel when there are fewer than 30 days to go until your present offer (free trial for example) or pass expires.

So you can cancel any day in the 29 to 1 day remaining window. If you cancel with 29 days to go, it'll let you watch unhindered on all the remaining 29 days.

You can easily remember by setting up a reminder in any calendar app on your phone/other device. Also, there are free reminder-type programs available for a PC/laptop (I use WinAlarm, but any similar one will do).

You don't have to wait to the last month, you can cancel at any time and continue to watch NOW TV until the voucher expires.

I assume that the settings tells you the final date and you just work out 29 days to 1 day from there?

I am keeping an eye out for one of those NowTV boxes with a 3 month pass - they are £50 in Sainsbury but I saw them there for £30 a few times this year.

Probably would end up watching it mainly on my laptop though I suspect.

Yes, the 'My passes' section on their website will tell you the exact date the next payment comes out of your registered payment card, so you can work it out from that.

So, either cancel or add another pass to keep it going for as many months the next pass is worth. I usually get much cheaper passes off eBay to keep it going.

New pasaes can be added when there are fewer than 30 days to go to the end of the present offer/pass.

Yes, you're probably right, but I think when I did that last time I lost a month when I took up a low-cost 2-month offer via a code last year (this Samsung MyGalaxy offer). I got the 1st month at a low cost, but as I cancelled almost immediately, I missed the 2nd month. If I waited to cancel after the 2nd month's payment, I would not have lost the 2nd month. So, you see, it's "Best to cancel when there are fewer than 30 days to go...", as mentioned earlier - this covers one for all eventualities.

30-days also suits me as I don't want to have to decide too much in advance (with the 3-4 month passes) whether I'm going to cancel or get a new pass to keep it going.

It makes sense that if you cancelled the Samsung offer immediately, NOW TV would then not then take a further payment for the second month. But when a voucher is for "FREE" viewing, it makes no difference when you cancel it and you can continue watching until the offer end date.

However, I would always recommend that users take a screenshot of any voucher when it is applied to their account for reference purposes, as the NOW TV system seems to be liable to forget about them later, and you will then need some proof when you contact customer services.
