This deal doesn't appear to be mentioned in the AC:B deal thread and Gamestation don't seem to be promoting it too heavily, so I figured I'd post it. Not sure whether it'll go cold as you're buying the game at full price though...

Anyway, go in-store and buy Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit (Standard - £39.99 / Limited - £42.99) or Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (Standard/Special Edition - both £39.99, so get the Special Edition obviously!) and you can take a brand new copy of Mass Effect 2 for just £5. Certainly a decent deal if you were planning to buy in-store anyway.

They also have a deal where if you buy Fable 3, you can get AC:B or NFS:HP for £24.99.

good deal for those who haven't got mass effect.

trade in value of mass effect 2?

trade in value of mass effect 2?

£5 CEX or £4 cash

Cold. Sounds better than it is.

Need For Speed is £43 in my local, and assassins creed is £40, even a new Mass Effect on top for a fiver isnt a great deal considering the games bought with can be found cheaper online, and unless you really care about the extra 15 gamerscore ME2 can be found dirt cheap used.

Boooooo Gamestation.

If you're a gamer and you have made a decision to ignore Mass Effect 2, you've denied yourself the pleasure of one of the highest rated games of all time.

If your gonna buy one of the other games in the title, then £5 for a new copy of ME2 is great (seeing as it includes the cerberus network DLC which is still on xbox live at full price). Heat added.

Mass effect 2 can be had fir under £10 instore in currys, so under a fiver with their voucher!

This.

Mass effect 2 for a fiver using the currys voucher is an absolute steal for such a good game. Waiting to see what GT5 comes in at with the voucher compared to the supermarkets.

I saw somebody by Fable 3 standard edition and they were offered Mass Effect 2 for a fiver as well.

WARNING!

I loved AC2, so rushed out and got AC:B on release day. I've never been so disappointed with a game. Wait for the price to come right down before you get it.

Mass Effect is a fiver when bought with anything else in store at Game. I bought Wolfenstein brand new for 99p and got ME2 for £4.99, so if it's ME2 you're after you're better off going Game.

You appear to be in a very small minority my friend.

You were robbed cookie, Gamestation didn’t live up to their guarantee of beating the competitors trade-in price by £1!

Good deal btw, heat added.

I know just one other person who has this game. He feels the same way as me. Heed my warning, chums. Or at least, don't get your hopes up too high. As an example, the game sets you the task of killing 'Borgia Captains' to reduce that group's influence in the city. So you work out a strategy, go in all stealth-like, only for the controls to screw everything up for you. In the end, you realise the best method is to rush in the front gate and stab the Captain, at which point the other guards lose interest and wander off. This game is broken, and I'm gutted.

My opinion is perfectly valid and my warning stands. I loved AC2 and I'm not enjoying AC:B one little bit.

Fair enough! We're discussing this game over at the 360 magazine forum. The reviewer likes it, me and another are not so sure. Feel free to hop in!
