Just notice that you can now use your Tesco Clubcard Vouchers to exchange for cineworld ticket. Works very well for me who has stopped the Cineworld Unlimited monthly subscription.

seems quite expensive in vouchers , as they are normally worth 4 times their face value on other deals

Original Poster

Costs me £6.50 here to watch a movie. £3 seems pretty good offer...

Not too bad, Adult ticket at our local Cineworld is about £7.20 at weekend. I think you will have to pay a premium if you want to see any 3D films though. Unlimited card is probably still the better option if you go more than twice a month.

£3=£12 thats very expensive unless it allows you to buy 2 tickets ?

our local cinema charges £2.50

£3 to watch a film at the cinema isnt exactly expensive!

But the point being made is the £3.00 your paying is worth £12.00 on other items.

If you look at it that way £12 a ticket is very expensive and almost the cost of a full months unlimited card.

Clubcard value:
Instore = face value only (£3 worth £3)
Most deals = 4x face value (£3 worth £12)
This deal = 2x face value (£3 woth £6.50)

I agree - better to use vouchers at Blockbusters

Cold cold cold

its not cold it's not £12 it's £3 - it's £3 that had the potential to be £12 but so what... its still something for nothing money already spent has earnt it.

HOT

Cold for me, you could pay for the cinema ticket and use the £3 to buy restaurant vouchers for a decent night out :-)

Cold from me too Id rather use my vouchers for something 4 x the value wouldnt waste them on this

Got £40 worth of clubcard vouchers i struggle to find anything i really want with them .....wish tesco would come up with better offers or things to do , or better places to eat in then the tacky ones they do have

They seem to sell pretty well on ebay. No idea how you can sell them as I thought they were person specific but seen a lot on there

i prefer the nectar offer on vue cinemas. 900 points for each child (anytime) and can't remember what it is for adults but something like 1200 points. I usually pay for myself and get 2 tickets for my 2 kids using the nectar points. For someone like me who has over 24000 nectar points it's excellent. I'd rather use my tesco clubcard vouchers on a deal that gives you 4 x it value. More of a money saving incentive.

Tesco Vouchers are top value for RAC Cover:)

At my area near Heathrow (this is not even west end) , cineworld is £7.80 after 6pm during weekdays and weekends...I am surprised how come some people have £6ish ticket in there area of cineworld cinemas..

Also, just got an e-mail from cineworld cinemas :

"We are writing to give you advance notice of a price increase for Unlimited card subscriptions. The new price will be £13.50 per month for Non West End and £16.50 per month for London West End subscriptions. The price increase will take effect from April 1st 09. Your collection dates will remain the same."

good deal from me, good idea by tesco to give us another place to spend the vouchers. voted hot

To be honest i didnt even know you could use Tesco clubcard points for anything but spending at Tesco until the OP posted this! Is there a list of where the vouchers can be used?

Get them changed up for £160 @ Goldsmiths Jewelers and then chip in £40 of your own money (as £200 minimum spend) and grab something in there. I had £50 Tesco vouchers and got £210 worth of watches (had to pay £10 myself).

This deal is shockingly bad in the grand scheme of Tesco deals...

Used my vouchers to book a holiday to Menorca in May for three of us. 4 star half board for a week, had to top it up by a £100!!! That's the way to spend your vouchers.
