Deal now live, where you can buy Dash buttons for £1.99 and get £4.99 off your first order. Effectively gives £3 off a purchase you want via a button. 68 buttons available with a range of products including household goods.

As an added bonus when ordering the dash button you can select no rush delivery and get a £1 Amazon Appstore, Digital Video, Kindle Book & Digital Music Reward.

What is a dash button?
A Dash button is a small wireless device that you can press to instantly order a certain product, be that washing powder, beer, batteries or toilet rolls. Each button usually costs £4.99, with the same amount coming off your first order - basically, the cost of the button back. However, at £1.99 you get £3 extra off the ordered goods.

Other Information
Thread from last year (thanks Kowalski), which has quite a lot of useful information including:
- Hacks for the buttons e.g. control Philips hue lights
- Some people being able to use the £4.99 credit on any item sold by Amazon after cancelling the 1st dash product order
- List of low priced eligible dash products enabling you to buy an item and rollover credit to buy any item sold by Amazon on your next purchase. Obviously prices change on a daily basis.

I bought a couple of different ones last year, but wasn't particularly impressed. My tablet wouldn't allow set up so had to use a desktop. Might have just been me. Also didn't find the range of products to buy using it to be good. Very restricted. IMO any products sold by Amazon for that company should be available, not just certain pack sizes or varieties which were often more expensive. Certainly was a one use only thing for me.
Once your done with the button, open it up for a free battery as well (_;)
Loving the fact that there's a Durex dash button :-)
Great for drynites and pampers thanks

Thought this looked decent - 1kg Vanish Oxi Action Fabric Stain Remover is currently £5 (price matching ocado) so would work out at £2 after discount using the Vanish dash button.

Saving my Vanish purchase for cinema ticket offer next week.

What's that?
Yeah, shame at the price - 99p last year.

Saw that these went up on some of Amazon's other markets today at €1.99 and thought hmmm! Let's hope it isn't £1.99.

An FYI, last year you could press the button, cancel the order and use the £4.99 on anything, not just the Dash product (so in other words £3 off), but only one per order - so you couldn't order 10 Dash buttons and get £30 off one order.

Also in said other markets they've currently got €5 credit when you watch an Amazon Prime video. Alas we've not got that today either!
I'm sure I bought one of these but for some strange reason it seems to have disappeared?oO

Life in general was years ago. Now I'm talking about this particular gadget
Got the Heineken one, gets used far more than it should to be honest! oO
Dash buttons work like this:
You buy a button from Amazon for specific products or brands. Say you buy the Andrex button, then you stick the button next to the toilet; when you run out of toilet paper you push the button and the next day 45 toilet rolls arrive from Amazon.
Of course if you have room to store 45 toilet rolls you probably won't run out very often!

The gadget is explained above.

From a deals perspective this is a way to get a £3 discount off selected Amazon products. If you browse the brands that currently offer a dash button - then click on the desired brand dash button page - then click below the link
'What products can this Dash Button order' you can get an idea what products you can buy and if this is any use to you.

cheers
Using these to turn my WeMo lights on and off, great to have them back on offer so I can get a few more.
Also depends on whether you want plastic advertising adorning your house.. where do you stick the durex one?
Got loads when it as 99p, set up and got a fiver off stuff. Will get a few more on this, Tassimo especially

squeeze the toilet rolls so theres a bend, they cant roll out as much
I found that when these were on sale last year they quickly removed all the low priced items available for each brand. Bit of a rip off, but it was just about worthwhile doing. You could carry over the discount onto your next order on Amazon (didn't have to be Dash-related)

If anyone can find the thread from last time I listed the cheapest item available for each brand (sure it will be different this month though)
Do people really earn so little that it's worth their time to use this "deal"?
