We had the same problem!! Needed one for the bathroom, so bought a pine door £27 and painted it white x

Garr...why is every door deal 762mm wide!

Screwfix have a full door hanging kit on offer for £5, might be of use for anyone thinking of getting these doors. Seems cheaper than just buying the handles anywhere else.

screwfix.com/pro…ome

to fit the hole it fills!

20% opff instore? When did that happen? How long's it on for?

Cheers

Foxy

Just rang local store and said the 20 percent is when u buy 5 doors so same deal as internet also 20quid delivery instore on the 5 doors

The same offer is on some of the other doors as well.

I'm a tad confused here - it appears that you have in fact applied the 20% discount twice?

You are taking 20% off what appears to be the offer price of £14.39 each - this is the price AFTER 20% off for buying 5 or more.

To anyone that's fitted these interior doors, please excuse my naivety but is the fact that these doors can only be trimmed down by a maximum of 1cm solely due to the fact they are hollow?

I need 6 interior doors to replace all of my upstairs doors and for £14 a door these seem ideal!

Also does anyone have a rough idea how much a chippy would charge for hanging/fitting 6 interior doors btw?

I reckon my chippy would charge about £50 - but he is dirt cheap and very quick

You get a little more than 1 mm but it the door needs to be more or less the same size at the hole it fills.
A good chippy should fit one of these in 30 to 45 minutes. Me and you it would take a whole :whistling:morning....

i am a chippie and charge £20 quid per door cash in hand, roughly an hour per door,as for trimming them, you can cut about 8mm from either end of the door giving you anout 15mm to play with, but a tip is if you need to cut it down more than that, and need to cut into the hollow section, just cut off what you need try to do it equal top and bottom to keep the door looking symetric then the bit you have cut off remove the piece of framing from within this and put it back in the hollow part of the door with some wood glue or no nails along either side of the inside of the door to secure it,door looks good ,job done,i have done this for years and was taught it by the tradesman i served my time with

What size do you need, all your timber yards have these for decent prices all year round in all sizes.

I recently replaced 4 metric sized doors for around £20 per door or thereabouts.

sorry guys live in scotland

lucky Scotland, thanks anyway

They aren't too bad, we have 4 boys. maybe we should have put solid oak ones up but hey, they cost a lot and it's not Buck House!!

The doors have not had 20% applied twice, we bought them BEFORE they were discounted (only the buy 5 or more deal). My partner saw the extra 20% off added the other day in Wickes Hemel.

these are bad! made of paper, hinges detach

You'd be better off getting a proper wooden door for £7!..............
