So long as you keep it under control, that little bit of hope and excitement is worth £2 in my books.
They must be rolling these out as they aren't available in the store i work.

Yes the odds of winning life changing money are almost zero but you can't dream about winning the lottery unless you play it. The dream alone is worth £2 a week in my book.
Someone's got to win it, chances are it wont be you but you never know. I'm sure every person who has won the lottery felt the same.

Couldn't agree more! Almost word for word what I said!
When fun stops, stop. Just like with brexit.
Knocked the lottery on the head when they increased it to £2, and added extra numbers. If I was going to buy a lottery ticket, it would be the postcode lottery.
Cold, what exactly is the “deal” is there a discount or something?....thought not 🥶

Deal shouldn't be always be discounted... It can be life or time saver like this one... Where you don't need to go or stand in a long que at kiosk specially just to buy a lottery ticket

Yeah it saves you time and time is money.
I'm not sure why this is getting heat, it's not a deal is it. You aren't getting something here cheaper then normal, nor are you getting more for your money or anything like that. It's just a ticket at the standard price.
I saw this last week and though I would give it a go, it took the support employee three attempts to let the till actually put it through so it’s somewhat buggy
This will throw up an age check so you’ll have to wait for a member of staff to come over which on a busy day can take a while so may aswell just go to the till....
once or twice a month it is ok just in case and for excitement but more than that it does not make any sense at all. I must admit that I won myself (long time ago) £5000 on a scratch card but considering all the odds involved by already winning a silly amount in 1 to few millions chances, it does mean that I will never win a considerable amount anymore.

May I enquire, formally, as to whether one can also purchase Royal Mail Second Class Stamps at the aforementioned?

My folks were so near but so far.... 5 and bonus ball years ago (maybe 2002 or something). only one number away from the 6 golden numbers (think 6th ball on the night was 47 and they had 48). You'd think that'd be a tidy sum.... it was only about 1k from what I remember when on occasion that could be 100'000s depending on how many winners.

My folks did same numbers for years but reckon they paid more than they won, and they won a few 4 balls and lots of 3 for £10.

Few years later, their next door neighbour hit the jackpot and won something like 5 million. Sadly, the whole family fell apart over the money. It was very sad as every family member expected to be 'rich' after she told everyone without thinking about the damage and envy it could cause. Story was splashed over the rags, think there was even a documentary about it (not that I watched it).

BTW, I don't play the lottery (or gamble).

Thank you for sharing the story. Very interesting and really scary how people change when money is involved.
