A lot of things are overpriced in life lets face it. But you know, if and when you are feeling a little flush, some of us do happen to like to live a little...splurge out.....

Beer is overpriced in pubs compared to buying bottles in supermarkets.
Coffee is overpriced in coffee shops, sandwiches are overpriced in many restaurants, cafes and supermarkets.
Greggs savoury pastries are overpriced and underfilled.

But you know in our little deprived Britain, if the wife and I want to go shopping once in a while and pop into the working class establishment of Krispy Kreme for a doughnut and a coffee, guess what...we live a little
So let me get this right, that's two, admittedly fancy, doughnuts for £1.90? And it's a hot deal because it would normally be a fancy doughnut for £1.90?

Are they 6" diameter or something?

I see you are new to site but getting to grips with how it works.

You are getting two donuts for the price of one.

I’m not sure how the op could have made that any clearer

Each to their own, and if some people really do consider these to be …Each to their own, and if some people really do consider these to be amazing , then let them indulge. For a long time I couldn't bring myself to pay so much for one doughnut, then one day decided to go for it and find out what I was missing. I was really looking forward to it and then found the experience totally underwhelming. So personally I think they are overrated. But if someone has tried the other (cheaper) alternatives and genuinely believes these KK ones to be amazingly better then that's up to them. I just wonder how many are sucked in by the hype and actually assume all others are poorer substitutes just because they are cheaper?

The supermarket ones I've tried don't compare to KK at all. Tesco's ones I wouldn't buy 4 for 50p. Gregg's are a step up from the supermarkets but to me there is still no comparison with KK. I'm not a regular donut buyer and I find KK too expensive, but if you or anybody else know about any equivalent or better tasting, cheaper donuts please do let me know where to get them.

Each to their own I guess. I'll happily munch through supermarket jam filled doughnuts, or custard or choc ones. Maybe I had a bad one when I tried KK, but I was underwhelmed especially given the price. I'm not a big fan of icing all over a doughnut either so that's not a big selling point to me either.
Krispy Kremes in Walmart Orlando pack of 12 for 7 dollars roughly £5.60. How much in Tesco? £8.00? Rip off Britain?
Lucky to get whatever Krispy Kremes I want free, but such an average doughnut and one time blended one up into a frap at starbucks it made the drink so oily which really put me off them.

Never bought one and never will, fresh iced ring donuts or such from any bakery, even a supermarket bakery they're just as good and if not better and not full of oil and peanuts in price - the only pro to the price of Krispy Kremes you might buy less cause of the price so you won't get as fat

Anyway the ultimate mug doughnut, maybe 2/3 for £1 would be a justifyable price at the end of the day

I'm not sure where you've seen comparable product elsewhere much less?I'm …I'm not sure where you've seen comparable product elsewhere much less?I'm not a huge fan of KK, but they do strike me as something that takes a reasonable amount of work...making nice dough, frying, filling, icing, decorating, distribution, storage etc...A jam donut from tesco isn't the same thing - and even their iced donuts are a distance away from the quality and presentation of KK. Of course, with KK the other issue is that _it's all they sell_...So it's not like supermarkets where they might make low margin on donuts and stronger margin elsewhere...the staff, the rent, the decor, the branding, all needs to come out of the price of a donut. When you think about the cost of a KK donut, the processes and ingredients involved, plus the highly-perishable nature of the beast...then think about coffee shops that charge £2.50 for some miscellaneous mud and some hot water, the donuts actually seem quite reasonable. Or places like Auntie Annie's or whatever that charge £4 for a pretzel...the many milkshake places that charge £4/5 for some milk, a fun-sized mars bar and a scoop of economy vanilla ice cream...a couple of quid for a donut may seem like a lot, but I'd say it's proportional to comparables in the market....

Wish Krispy Kreme was available in NI- all these deals look amazing Wish Krispy Kreme was available in NI- all these deals look amazing We don’t have any good donut places for the occasional treat

But you have Tim Horton's over in NI, we don't have them in the South East. Tim Horton's apple fritter or maple dip doughnut beats anything in Krispy Kreme.
Anyone tried in Tesco yet with any result?
Heat added @Dark_Lord_Meh 🔥
Praise the lard!!!!🤪
Got mine for £1.50 through the self service scan had to ask a lady to help though as the machine expected a printed coupon
Also surprised there aren't utensils to help get them out of the cabinet, you have to use fingers!

Yep, just used it via the app. It's under the 'My Account' section.

Also just a quick note, if you sign up to the app and you don't use Krispy Kreme very often, they send you a 'Doughnut of Choice' voucher every now and again. This allows you to get any doughnut for free
just used the code, central London cost is £2.10 not £1.90

Give over. Do Lidl also do a doughnut infused with lotus biscoff?!
Just came back from Krispy Kreme. It was £2.20 not £1.90 (London).

It was £2.20 where I went as well, nowhere near London though. Is it not £1.90 at Tesco stores and £2.20 at Krispy Kreme stores?

Yeah, maybe it's cheaper at tesco. Didn't check. I mean £2.20 is still a very good deal but I wouldn't pay that much in the future. Not worth it in my opinion.

Is it any of them in Tesco ? They are priced differently ?

Yeah, £2.20 for two of these is okay - £1.10 each as a one off treat but there's no way I would pay £2.20 for just one

Oh my Lord !!
Worked a treat buying the premium ones in Tesco and the code still worked, £1.50 for a strawberry donut and chocolate donut, normally £3.60
They have the dozen offer on again where you get an original glazed dozen for £1 once ordered a dozen for full price from the 18th November to 1st December.

Good for parties.
