No VPN required to buy at the UK price

See below for method (Takes 2 minutes to buy with VPN from Russia with Paypal or Visa)

One of the big benefits of buying games from GOG.com is that they are DRM FREE

*** VPN is only required for purchase not during game play *** Very easy method , takes around 5 minutes.

I have purchased using my regular UK GOG account with my UK registered credit card , you can also use paypal , please see below for the easy to follow method.

The game page quotes that it is in full English text and English Audio.

*** What are GOG.com terms and conditions when it comes to using VPN for buying games using a VPN :- their only opinion as stated on their website is :- "that's not cool."

support.gog.com/hc/…ent
6.11. Please treat this system sensibly and don't exploit it (for example by using VPNs or other methods to manipulate how your location appears) – that's not cool.

**** The Method I used for buying the game:-

Used my VPN subscription service ( ivacy.com) set to Russia

*** I found Opera browser worked the best for me , fresh download , all history and cookies cleared , only logged into GOG once the VPN was set to Russian ( I did run Google Chrome in tandem in another window using Google Translate , so I had a clue what was happening on screen) *****

1 )I Used my computer, Opera browser cleared history and cookies.(did work on my phone also using opera browser, I found chrome did not work , but prefer computer for this kind of thing anyway)

Surfed to GOG.com , searched for the title of the game.

2)Added to my basket.

3)logged in using my regular GOG account.

4)I Paid via visa card, you can pay via PayPal option , when you click to pay via Paypal , at the Paypal login ****disconnect VPN **** pay as normal and job done

Did you use the links in the listing or the link "get deal "?

930 roubles for the Deadfire edition , that is via the "get deal link" I have added that to the text too , the links in the description where previously only for the more expensive editions as detailed.

Any similar price for a Steam version?

Any similar price for a Steam version?

Sadly not , they ban VPN users , so I would not risk buying via Steam VPN ....

But no multiplayer etc , GOG works great. plus big Big saving.

Plus I don't think steam are offering any free game as part of the purchase.

May as well just go piratebay... this is tax evasion...

Hey maybe go buy it on amazon or ebay too, interesting tax methods used there.

Tax will be paid by GOG in the country they are registered.

But definitely not piracy, the Dev is still been paid.

Sounds like your prompting piracy....

The dev isn't being paid as much as they ought to be. Pricing is regional based on local cost of living so everyone can enjoy the game at a price that's fair to their salary.

You want to go around that to pay less then that's up to you but don't try taking some moral high ground about it...

I am not been defensive but can you explain why you posted the name of a pirate website?
... what do you want to say the bay? its not a secret and the biggest in the world, what does this have anything to do with your tax evasion thread?

I had not heard of the site you posted, I had to Google the term, perhaps others today have decided not to purchase due to you naming therefore promoting a piracy site.

Why do you make such assumptions that everybody knows the name of piracy sites?

Are you accusing me of commitng tax evasion?

Please post your evidence to back up your claim.

Well, the game is released tomorrow, but I am guessing on average 8 out of 10 review scores.
Amazon etc. have their corporate tax interests registered overseas to pay lesser rates of tax so it`s not the same argument unless you also do the same. What corporations do is totally legal based on the tax laws of most countries despite how MP`s rattle they`re sabres to win popular opinion. The simplest solution would be for GOG to tighten it`s policy like Steam, yet they choose not to do so. Since steam would delete your account (worst case) you`d have to ask yourself if it would be worth the risk of using this method should GOG also have the same terms ?
I`m reporting this thread to HMRC, KGB, DVLA and ELO.
