It seems that users have found a way to add their favourite games to the console, by adding several games to one image on a USB drive and also including 4 that stay in save state. It's not yet up to the hack like we see with the Snes Mini but might interest some of you.

It's 1982 and a new home computer graces the scene. Out goes the silent black and white experience and in with 64KB of RAM, colour graphics, and synthesizer sound. Roll forward 35 years and kick nostalgia into overdrive with the release of THE C64 MINI. A tiny but perfectly formed officially licensed 50% scale replica of this much loved machine.

Accurate c64 operation. Ntsc & pal display modes (60 & 50 Hz). Pixel filter options (sharp, crt, scanline emulation). Pixel perfect graphics. Save game function. Featuring high-definition output via HDMI, a classic style joystick and 64 built-in games including classics like california games, para droid, nebulus, impossible mission and uridium.

2 USB ports: plug in a USB keyboard and use as a fully functional home computer, or add a second joystick for 2-player games.

Supports firmware upgrades via USB flash drive.

  • For ages 7 years and over.
  • Manufacturer's 2 year guarantee.
  • EAN: 4020628774899.

I was always a Spectrum fan but had a bit of a jealousy to some aspects of the C64.
You can read all about it here

You're getting heat from me because I saw that C64 picture and was transported back to the days of Sinclair (ZX80/81, Spectrum, QL), BBC Micro, Dragon, Oric, Acorn, Atari 800, VIC-20, Amstrad CPC-464. Oh the days I spent reloading tapes to that high pitched crackle, and typing naff games from the pages of the BigK magazine. And I'd do it all again. HEAT

Nice plug there
I was tenpted by the mini, but apparently the people behind this may work on a full sized version in the future
Loved playing little computer people on my friend Shaun's C64 precursor to the sims
I'm waiting till they do an Amiga.

Misleading price, prime now only available in several large cities.
Cold, available for £64.99 lots of places, i dislike code specific deals at the bets of times, but the only thing that makes this a "deal" is the code, therefore the code should be posted (probably has) and thats it.
