lol, my first proper pc (excluding specrums, bbc micros etc) had less than this...6.4gb

Just got one cheers

Hope it's fast enough for my TV to record onto it - thanks!

16GB version @£16.99. I was impressed by the first so I bought another for the misses. Not sure why the pink is @£24.99 though!

6.4GB! Pah, I would have given my left nut for that sci fi amount of space.

I had 40MB!

I have one of these which I use to install apps on my PS3, only it's the 4GB version and it seems to be OK so far.

Or this one for … Or this one for £15.31http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bytestor-16GB-Maxi-Flash-Drive/dp/B003WE9WNM/ref=sr_1_23?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1286452812&sr=1-23

Out of interest I had emailed the company [Bytestor] to ask about the read/write speeds on this particular stick, quoteing the exact manufacturer's reference and was rather surprised to get this reply:

"The read and write speed for the Flash drive

Read Speed Write Speed
12 MB/s 3 MB/s

Please note that all speeds are dependent on the Host Device."

Unless they have made a mistake, that is horrendously slow and certainly something to avoid!
Compare with this generic stick from 7DayShop at 20.5 and 8.5Mb/s for example 7dayshop.com/cat…966

Of course the Amazon price has since increased substantially anyway.

I have 2x 16GB sticks and am very happy with the performance. Those figures definitely do not relate to the 16GB version.

People need to realize if their machine is slow or USB 1.1 then it isn't going to be fast no matter what stick you buy....!
Using Crystal disk (USB 2 port, fair spec machine) peformance figures are:
Read 26.95MB/s Write 14.91MB/s I'd say that was impressive for 16gb @ £16.99
