Good price but Ikea wins this one for me with their Kura - ikea.com/gb/…09/

Yes, it’s more expensive but you’re less likely to get split pine pieces with Ikea - the quality is much better than the difference suggests.

Thankfully we are long past needing a child's bed but this one looks decent and it's a decent price. Heat added.
Can you put double bed underneath
I need this with the storage draws/ desk underneath etc anyone know of any good deals?

Have a go at making your own, as long as you have some basic power tools it’s easy enough. Plenty of guides online etc and you’ll be able to build it stronger than the ones you buy for a better price.

We had a Kura from Ikea and it felt a little cheap and flimsy but okay for young children

After much researching I bought from a high sleeper bunk bed and the mattress from these guys directly c. 3 years ago. Their stuff is not cheap nonsense. The bed is still going strong, exceptional wood, strong guarantee, sensible delivery guy, who was nice to chat to. They are very good at what they do. I would recommend them highly. I think there was a code on their site, counting down to expire never! It took an age to build, the instructions were not the best, I think I found their v1 instruction manual online in the end, However, I can't lie once built, I knew the bed was going nowhere. It's built like an ox and to date not a splinter in sight, and a quick tighten up somewhere. No, I'm not affiliated with them.

The fact that the legs are not joined at floor level means it will never be as strong or stable as the Kura, as they really add to the stability.

I just moved the Kura bed to a different room and was surprised how well it went from taking it apart and putting it back together.

Will probably buy a second to create one if the ikea hack bunks.

Wondered what you were on about and checked mine. It’s higher and yes three sides have stabilising planks to hold the legs together

The one in the OP’s picture doesn’t have anything between the legs.

Kura has all 4 legs joined together. For the sake of £20 more, I’d buy the Kura bed as you’re going to get good customer service from Ikea.

I had a white wash finish desk and the finish was fading / wearing after 2 years of use so they sent me a new top.

Yes I had to take it apart to replace it but they didn’t even ask for a receipt - just a picture of the affected area by email and then shipped a replacement.

There’s no how to guide but it’s just taking the bed section of a second KURA and putting it under the original.

There are other hacks that are possibly cheaper to achieve the same but require more work.
