So Ryan Air allow one free bag with all their tickets and this fits that allowance exactly. It's a shoulder bag so maybe a little more hassle to carry than the backpack at twice the price. It's not as well reviewed on Amazon on the backpack and people complain about the build quality but then it's always sold at a lower price point than most other cabin max bags so it was never going to be up to those sorts of standards.

The three camels says it usually sells between £13 and £15 and has been as low as £12 before.

I'm not a regular Ryanair passenger but did fly with them this year. I bought one of these bags as I was so paranoid about ensuring I had the correct size. When we arrived at the airport, everybody else had much bigger bags - nobody's bag was checked. Frustrating!

couldn't agree more...
Obsessed about bag size and researched like mad myself.
Only to find people with bags the size of fridges going through... 😁
Sometimes they check though. I heard someone screaming at the staff last time I flew because they charged her £25.
I was just planning to use a “bag for life” and roll the top down. Would that be okay? ( serious question, I’m taking a single Ryan air flight at Christmas)
They do check, last 2 times I flew with Ryanair they had staff going up and down with their handheld payment machines waving them about. They couldn’t wait to find a big oversize. Sure they’re on commission for charging oversized bags.

Done it many a time - didnt even roll the top down - figured that I would do that if requested but never was.
Now use a backpack thats just slightly over the limit - but would squeeze down if I had to show it would fit into a measuring box.
I've seen bigger back packs going through - they dont normally check if its a few cm too big - its only when its really obvious that they start fining (tho thats just my experience).
Pjeff7. Thx for your response, Im reassured that I don’t have to buy a special bag to use once!
I frequently fly Ryanair and from what I have observed the staff check the non priority queue for anyone with a case. I have never seen them challenge anyone with back packs and other bags regardless of size. I have seen people carry on some full size packs and proceed to put them in the overhead locker as they are way too big to fit under the seat.
So people are still starting sentences with 'so'.

Is it so millenials can recognise each other on 'the net'?
bough this sometime ago - frequent flyer here - flew with it few times no issues both ryanair and wizzair- always with priority and I think that also makes a difference but I did have my backpack with me as well which is much bigger
Also be careful as its easy to overpack and strech it outwards meaning it wont fit in the sizer
Defienietly would recommend this - good quality zips, has a nice handle

Don't think we've ever managed to fly without hold luggage, the wife would fill that with just her underwear
