I thought this was a replacement for Virgin Media's set-top box until I read the full description.

Great deal, just recently bought a similar set from toolstation for around £18.

just have to remember to get one when they come in, I'm sure I'll forget

definately want a set at this price .can anyone confirm if these are available at other aldi branches

Is this the hd version or just a standard sd version?

Must be SD, no HDMI mentioned!

I bought one in Manchester two weeks ago.

Still not got round to fishing my cctv shotgun cable in yet though. Looks nifty for £7, and if it breaks, buy a new one.

These will be useless for taking cabling around bends..etc

Even the half decent ones snap easy.

These things are awesome. I have used them a few times for fitting car audio equipment. Definitely worth a go at this price. HOT!

Looks a great deal, Screwfix do a very similar looking set for £24.99!!

That's why they make flexible "rods"

Also good for getting stuff that the children lose behind radiators, and, from personal experience, hooking a set of keys out from a drain. Everybody should have a set of these, by law.

These aren't really very good. The attachments unscrew.

I use Super-Rod's kit for cable installs, more money than this, but won't break or unscrew in a week - sometimes cheapest is definitely false economy

spot on, I chased ethernet cable from the loft to all the rooms in the house, bought cheap ones to start with, similar to these Aldi ones and they were crap. I paid £30 for my super-rods, they are double that now which is astonishing so these Aldi ones are great value

Hot, thanks OP. Got one from Aldi, Fighting Cocks, Wolverhampton. About a dozen left there.

Available in Bracknell. Three left on the metal cage in the "WorkZone" area.

cold.i just use wooden skewer stciks 50p for 50 does the job put sky cables and allsorts through outside wall

Damn, i've always used coat hangers and insulating tape, if only i knew these were out there and so cheap. Will pick one up ASAP although ive done all my recabling for a while but u never know when you need to poke someone in the eye from a distance. Do they come with safety glasses ? :O

cheers, not the best of quality, but will do a job or two, until I get super rods
