I think these are great! - I have them myself - ideal for-

• iPhone users with the ''frayed cable problem" or to prevent this known fault happening - protect your investment.

• iPhone AND android user can easily distinguish their relevant cable by colour coding the cable.

☞ 34p including postage!!!

n.b.

instructions included - seconds to fit.

(superglue helps if you want to make a totally permanent seal) - but they stay in place under normal conditions.

n.b. maybe a few pence cheaper on aliexpress but hotukdeals have a very sensible 12 month trading policy

cheers

I bought 10 of these on eBay for £1.60.

The idea behind them is reasonable and it's certainly good for identification purposes.

But all they effectively do is move the stress point an inch further down the cable. It doesn't solve the problem.

However, the spring from a biro, coiled around the cable actually does do the job effectively and free.

Hi
Have you found the cable frayed below the cable protector area after installing?
thanks

I need something that tells me what the cable is for rather than colours

I tried the biro spring on my cables but they just move about and end up sliding down the wire

Well its not effectively free, as you still have to buy the biros..

Hi
My understanding from review photos is you get two sets (I am trying to confirm this at present) and can request different colours - so 17p each but as a bulk buy (10 piece) the prices do drop to 10p each elsewhere
cheers

Another product created for no reason....

Isn't it obvious enough that the connectors for iphones and android are different?
People are just so lazy.

As for fraying cable, that's down to buying cheap knock-offs and not treating the charging cables with care.

Hi

I find the colour coding helpful.

My frayed iPhone cable was the one I purchased brand new from apple. It is a known fault that apple's cables fray.

I never BUY any biros. And if you did, then wait until the ink has run out and use the spring then. You're not suggesting I recommended buying a biro pen for a spring then throw away the pen are you?
