Iv just come back from tesco longton & they would not let me have them, they scanned at two for £10.00 .
even though there was " two for £3.00 " on the printout when i asked her to cancel them she wouldnt let me have them , she said they had never been two for £3.00 & was very unhelpful & rude.
someones messed up i think

i voted hot btw obviously lol .. just tesco longton sucks.

Never bought anything from there e-store and its trying to charge me £35 - hence not taking into account the discount.

How does this get refunded back, or will they only take the discounted amount?

Cheers

I guess now Wollies have gone there will be a lot of eggs at great prices!
I bet we wont see the same offers next year!

Discounts dont show on an online order except on the invoice when it is delivered in my experience but if this is a mistake its not certain it will be honoured i guess

Comes out full price for me

Thanks to the OP - heat & rep added.

Just nipped down to my local and got 4 of them, used the self service checkout and the discount was taken off without a problem.

I've just been and got 4 and they scanned through at 2 for £10 ,went to customer services and after a long wait they worked out an overcharge of £7 per pair so total overcharge £14 doubled to £28 so they paid me to take 4 eggs away!

Just went to my local store and grabbed 6 no SEL showing the 2 for £3 just £6.99 each

So went to the quick scan checkouts and total was £9

Bargain Cheers OP

Just been to my local Tesco and I was told that they are only 2 for £3 online and not instore, marked up at £6.99 and scanning for £6.99 I asked why and the lady said oh it's just to get more people to shop online! :w00t:

Yes just refuse them and when you sign for your shopping the driver will cancel them from your list so you won't be charged for them. You can also do this if an item is too close to the BBE date or you don't like the substitution they've sent.

Thanks. But would help if they accepted my card. :x:roll:

Awesome -

Just bought two of them, got charged £10 for the two (taking away the £3.98 discount for the normal 2 for £3.00 discount) so overcharged by £7.

Took to customer service, and after huge amount of flapping and fussing and people running to remove shelf tickets, I got double the mis-price back (afte rI told the woman the Tesco policy). So basically got paid £11 for taking away two easter eggs!

Thanks OP - all stuff added!

None left in Tesco Old Swan, Liverpool, or Wavertree Metro Express whatever it is.
That was so stressful remind me not to go there on my lunch again no deal was worth the hassle, the amount of rejects who don't know how to use a trolley or just walking along coz its only you in a rush to get back off your lunch..
The 11 year old crying because they never had the 2 disc edition of Twilight was the last straw for me!

Gonna go the Allerton Mather Avenue store on my way home tonight when i get some veg.

Cheers
H+R added anyway before i even went...

So are you saying that this is deffintately a mis price? (as staff were running to temove shelf tickets). I've just emailed my hubby to get some as he has my car today. Also - which store was this?

Can confirm this amazing deal in my local tesco haslingden. Price label had no mention of any offer, but after reading on here, gave it a try, and yes, 2for £3, so have some major heat

None in Consett Tesco.

great find cheers.
just been in my local tesco hindley, and there flying off the shelves

Just been to my local Tesco's and it seems this is not so much a 'mis-price' but a 'mis-deal' judging from what I saw on the Admin panel of the self-checkout till.

I picked up 4 eggs, and went through the checkout, total of £27 ish reduced to around £20.
Called the guy over and he called up the admin panel.

Apparently Cadbury's Eggs (the normal cheaper ones) are on 2 for £3, and the till makes a reduction based on their ordinary price, to effectively only charge you £3 for 2.
Of course the collection eggs are more than the other eggs, (£6.99 each!), so when it makes the deduction that it would apply to the normal eggs it does NOT bring these down to 2 for £3.
I'm guessing teh shelf edge tickets were printed by mistake due to them being "Cadbury's Eggs"
After much headscratching by the staff, and checking of the shelf edge ticket, they put the whole transaction through customer services as 4 @ 1.50 each.

Just wanted to let people know, as I only bought the 4 eggs so it was immediately obvious to me that the discount hadn't worked as expected, but if you picked them up as part of your 'shopping' you might not notice.

I had to register to thank you for this amazing deal! I went to my local tesco and asked a very helpful lady at the counter if it was in 2 for £3 she pressed some buttons and scanned the eggs and the display came up with a total of 40p. She was confused and asked the supervisor if she should sell them for 40p and she said yes.
I then went to get more but as a picked a basket up the supervisor said she couldn't sell anymore of these eggs and took the two i had in my hand away,

They scanned as 6.99 each but then the savings say 2 for £3 -13.58 saving. Has anyone else foudn this instore anywhere?

Will give you heat and rep when i work it out. Thanks a lot!!
