Noticed these this morning, so dashed down to my local where they scanned full price, but showed them the web-price. They not only honored it, but gave them to me for free - 5 boxes!

Other varieties reduced to 80p include

Cadbury Easter Mini Eggs Chocolate Cakes x6

Cadbury's Easter Mini Eggs Nests Cakes x4

Local stores often dearer than larger stores (mine is any way) So think you got VERY lucky here! Heat given!
Ahh, Easter cakes! I remember my granny making these for the whole family back in the sixties from a recipe handed down from her great grandmother. Easter cakes? Shame on you, Mondelez.
wont honour that price in kempston, Bedford
Online prices always update a day early, I would imagine this will be the price from tomorrow instore.

Sorry, forgot smaller ones are called locals, when i said local i meant my nearest which is a superstore, heyford hill, oxford.
My local one does not sell these. I tried yesterday.
Been to my local superstore in Sheffield, and they were scanning at full price. Got a manager to put them through at web price

As I said to him there should be no difference as that is the exact shop where my online orders are picked..
ooohh cake nice!

At which point I would have left, buying nothing and shopped at Asda until I forgot how annoyed I was.

I honestly don't understand shop workers who would rather risk that than allow a customer to buy something at the advertised price.
Online prices are listed for the benefit of those shopping online and are therefore always a day ahead because your shopping will be charged at the store price on the delivery day, which will not be today, as Sainsbury’s do not do same day deliveries.

Incorrect. Sainsburys do offer same day delivery / click and collect.

Sorry - my mistake. I haven’t ordered from Sainsbury’s in a while. I always assumed this was why the prices were a day ahead online. Perhaps this is why they were a day ahead initially but the systems haven’t been updated to take account of the same-day deliveries and collections. Interestingly the mySupermarket app lists the new Sainsbury’s price today and highlights it as a ‘new price’ - stating that ‘Sainsburys has updated the price online recently and it may take around 24hrs for the price to be updated in store.’
Price now back to £3 online!

Don't worry about it, yeah i always apply that rule to mysupermarket with Tesco - obviously was just a glitch anyhow as you say price actually gone up today as they were scanning at £2.25 yesterday.
I ordered these yesterday at 80p but when I picked up my order this morning they had charged me £2.25 per box. Phoned customer services and they refunded the difference. Worth checking your receipt if you are expecting these in an order.
