I noticed on the mySupermarket site that an 850g tin was £5. May just be this odd sized tub or a Tesco Express only price.

Cadbury and Nestle have both been increasing the price and reducing the quantity for the past few years. This is a good price. Time to stock up for Christmas before they inflate the price.

Look at the deal image! All those chocolates bursting out. They probably had to dump an extra two tins of chocolates on top to make it look like that!

Wild goose chase - £5 in my store. Don't waste your time!

Hahaha you're probably right!

The big debate every Xmas is how fings ain't what they used to be. And that's from the junior members of the family!

I'm afraid Roses and QS have slipped down the pecking order and Celebrations (and even Heros) take priority.

This looks like a new plastic tin variant with 10% less chocolates than the metal tin! good deal have some heat!

totally agree celebrations are the ones to get these days.

I hate how roses and quality street keep messing with the colours of wrappers so you end up with a coffee when you wanted a fudge

I went to my local Tesco and found it for £5

Was it a Tesco Express?

This is Trickery to get us to go into the Tesco establishments, I was tricked like this before by The Devil, when he conned me out of my soul in exchange for a Lady of the Night

Thanks.

Any ideas why they would do this for one/limited store(s)?

No idea! I wanted to buy 2 tins but 2 Tescos sell it for £5.

Check the sell by date - they should be okay but I've seen tins before go on sale this time of year with a Dec sell by date....

That's a marketing con they love. It's only a 'best before' date not a 'use by'. So even if it is Dec they will still be fine for a few more months at least.

The one I bought had a decent date, some point in 2015, I'll check when I get home.

The tubs are a different shape this year - they narrow towards the bottom so the date will be ok. Shame only 1 person got the deal and they only bought 1 tub!

Are these available in Edinburgh, any one know?

£5 per tin in Sutton, Surrey too, we very rarely get any of the Tesco offers here

Online shows £5 per 'tin' for these and the recent Celebrations offer that was posted on here. Might have to go investigate in store in the hope of a bargain or two.:D

Random extra thought: I don't 'arf miss the nut cracknells that used to be in Quality Street. Why do they always discontinue my faves?!? *sulk*

I miss woolworths pick and mix
used to buy all the green triangles

Tesco Lydney they are £5

I can not eat this anymore.
Our landlord gifted 2 boxes when we just moved in. We overeaten them

Stores had deliveries of the at the weekend. You'll be lucky if you get tins of Roses out of date, they usually sell out before xmas! Quality Street on the other hand... who even likes them?
Also they're £5

No way. Not when Celebrations have ditched their two best ones - Topic and Galaxy Truffle - in recent years.
