Yes. Disappointing. Does anyone know how much their cake / tray slices are?
Usually about £1.80-2 still a good deal I guess
Good while it lasted
Just got this, staff were bemused, they hadn't seen the new offer yet or been told about it! Still, it worked, fair enough deal, they couldn't give away free drinks forever!

Great. I'm also excited that my first post might go hot? How many do I need?

Different members can apply different amount of heat, so it really depends! It has to hit 100 degrees to get onto the 'hot' page... Hopefully you don't get a load of people voting down just because they're not running the free drink deal!
Good to see this offer seems to be at most stores, at least according to the O2 app. When it had this offer a few weeks back it was only for certain stores.

That would be very unkind!

People sometimes vote one way or another for very strange reasons... Don't get to involved in their thinking, it can drive you barmy!

Thanks! Oh well....coffee and cake
They had this promo on couple of weeks ago to whilst they still had the free coffee promo. I got a slice of the red velvet cake, that was nice. Cost about 1.80

I guess this would work well with the £20 gift card for £10, get cake at about £2 a slice and get a free coffee.
Wow 4 hours plus and none of the tax or rubbish coffe moaners just be a record
Cake is £2.50-3.00 or so. It's a shame they aren't doing the free coffee anymore. I just hoped it was a week while they did the win for a year competition. Alas, this isn't as good of a deal.

Nero never gave free drinks, as they would have been paid for by O2, just probably just above cost so 5pence each. :P
Free coffee > "free" coffee with a cake

Oh, I understand that, just to us, the customers, it was 'free', and O2 must've got them at cost price, so yeah, about 5p a drink!

Free coffee > "free" coffee with a cake

Hence under deals not freebies.
Yay I'm joining O2 tomorrow! Love coffee, love cake

No more free coffee... Oh well

Well technically... it's still free coffee
Strolled in to the Lytham branch today to take advantage.

Points to note:
1) I got a red velvet cake and was charged 2.65 to eat in.
2) I got a hot chocolate (which according to the terms is permissible)
3) The lady said I could have my drink large, regardless of the fact that the terms specify regular. I took the large.
4) The cake and the chocolate were DELICIOUS.
5) The staff were pleasant

Summary: win
i have a stamp so i get free coffe all the time

So getting a free coffee was considered "cheating"? That's so absolutely ridiculous, but whatever floats your moral boat

What?? He is talking about getting blank loyalty cards & stamping them with a stamp that he's not authorised to use. Yes. That's cheating in my book. Tantamount to stealing

I had a quote notification which took me to your post, somebody else quoted me though (my error). So let's pretend this dialogue never happened

The staff in the Lytham branch are much more pleasant than the St. Annes branch
They still stamp your loyalty card even if coffee is free, so will get free one again eventually.

That's true. I like that about caffe Nero. The staff have always stamped the 'free coffee' (previously) happily.

I don't know, I think St. Annes is a fairly mixed bag. There is one blonde girl (or perhaps lady) there who is rather nice. The others seem miserable. The drinks/cake though are just as good
All the staff in my local CN are female Eastern European. All are absolutely lovely, incredibly helpful...& stunning ....except one.
