Cafepod Nespresso compatible Capsules Origin Inspired Box of 10 £1.00 @ Home Bargains

Found 8th Nov 2016
First time posting a deal, can't see that it has been posted - Home Bargains Swadlincote and Derby have boxes of 10 Guatemala and Ethiopia Cafepod Nespresso compatible capsules for £1 a box.
Believe this is a National deal.
I've not tried these before, but the Guatemala tastes good to me, much nicer than the Bestpresso capsules, also in HB. Not sure about the Ethiopia, but will keep tasting at 10p a shot. I like my coffee with milk, so the taste doesn't always get through!
Not seen them in HB before, so I suspect these will not be there long.

These big boxes have the capsules in individual airtight packages but the new compact boxes just have loose capsules which tend to dump grounds everywhere and cannot keep the stuff as fresh as the airtight packs. For a pound they are good value and not bad tasting. They make great cappuccino and latte.
They've had these in our HB for a while now. I had bought some cafepod capsules direct when they had an offer on last year and had loads of issues with them just crumpling up in the machine. Got some of these and surprisingly no issues at all.

However, HB also do boxes of Bestpresso capsules (£1.99 for 20) which IMO are one of the best available, nice and strong whereas the cafe pod are very weak

Will anyone ever bring out a Tassimo rip off or is the barcode what prevents that happening?
Thanks to everyone for giving my first post so much heat !
Must be something to do with patents - nespresso fought the copiers through the courts :…its
My Home Bargains **had** these, very briefly, a few weeks ago.
Got some to try, went back for more the next day and they were gone. Had they returned I'd have posted the deal. I presumed it was a very limited parcel of short-dated stock.
The 'Guatemala' is pretty good for me and the 'Ethiopia' is OK-ish, but fine for 10p/pod. Both are lungo-length.
The shorter Decaf espresso was a bit disappointingly thin - even for 10p. All the packs I got were fairly short-dated - a month or two, so don't fill your boots without checking.
The capsules worked very happily in my Nespresso U machine.

To clarify a point made above, these are £1 boxes of 10 individually-wrapped pods. Great as long as you don't intend putting them in a display rack - only do that with the sealed-capsule Nespresso originals.

My Home Bargains has had continuing stock of 'Bestpresso' pods in £2 packs of 20 pods. These have two sealed bags each with 10 otherwise exposed (and being legal clones, not-sealed) pods.
They have had a few of the varieties BUT even freshly opened, I don't like the coffee AND they don't work as well in the machine. The flow is restricted to constipation levels - I have no idea if this may be harmful to the machine.
Even at 10p/pod, I didn't think it a deal worth posting!

But if you are lucky enough to find the CafePod ones, particularly the Guatemala, they are (in my opinion) a real hot deal at £1/box ... IF you happen to spot any! (No wild geese were harmed in the making of this post.)
