Just ordered 2 many thanks OP, perfect for that extended coffee break at work

already have one but i use it pretty much everyday. this is well worth the money.

These are a great idea. In my experience there is a flaw with the design though and a lot of coffee grinds tend to get through round the sides of the filter.

You beat me to it!
Zyliss - interesting company, dedicated to making odd things that actually work - like their no-need-to-peel garlic press. It was on the strength of that that I ordered this cafetiere, they don't produce rubbish or gimmick products - and it's nice to know that such companies still exist.

Thanks OP , blue and red on offer it seems . Heat added :-)

Look fantastic...Heat

I don't drink coffee but I'm getting the red one..... thanks HUKD, I think

I used to have one of these and I would say that they are OK unless you take sugar in your coffee (I only have about half a spoon!) because every time I added sugar and stirred as one might an ordinary cup, the spoon would catch on the bottom ridges and cause the cup to flip over.

I realise that this may be due to my decades of habitually stirring vigorously which I probably learned from my parents but it did mean that more got spilled than drunk.

I was hopeful that this might be a different or updated design but I can see from the Amazon photo that it's the same so sugar addicts beware.

These are great. I don't use sugar or milk just black. Easy to clean.

I put mine into a proper mug then add sugar as i don't like drinking out of plastic cups. Still a great product and great price

Yeah.... blame the parents
Simple answer - use a sugar substitute and stir more gently.
My personal favourite is Scotch. Then it all gets drunk

I use one of these, and I add my sugar before plunging to avoid this from happening

Voted hot to cancel out your negative attitude

I tried one of these and felt that the plastic tainted the taste of the coffee, rendering it most unsatisfactory. I suppose that is just one of my own personal peculiarities.

Other than that I thought they were good products and this is a good price. Voted hot on that basis.

I would like this but since i have mine milky i would have to heat the milk separately (since microwaves wont pass through the vacume), thus defeating the purpose..since there is no advantage to this over a cafetiere (for me), im out. May be good for some, though if the gauze is decent quality

I don't understand. Sorry, what is this again?

Thanks OP - ordered a couple to replace some that are fraying around the rubber seals after many years of service.

Regarding other comments, the coffee doesn't taste quite as good, but the time and faff saved is definitely worth the trade-off. It's a bit like when you used to drink tea out of a beaker when you were little.

One tip for newcomers: you might want to drink the last of it at a quarter-turn anti-clockwise (assuming you're right-handed, so the handle of the press touches the bridge of your nose). Otherwise, you might end up with the last slosh of coffee running up the stem of the press and landing all over your right cheek and chest.

That happened to 'someone I know' quite a few times.

these are great and a superb price

Wouldn't the plunger get in the way while drinking? and its plastic? seems quite pointless to me. Just get a 1 cup cafetiere.

Or even, you know, click the link and read the description. Come on, this is the extreme of spoonfeeding.

Ive had mine years. Push slowly and no bits.

The Blue one has gone up to £7.50... but the red one is still under a fiver.

Thank you, would have preferred the blue ones but the red ones will be fine I'm sure, have ordered two for friends for their caravan

Mine came and its got a lid! My old ones didn't have one. Very happy
