No idea, will try tonight and if ok will stock up!

I tried these and the coffee had a burnt rubber taste about it. Ended up chucking the rest of the pack

trust me this stuff is nasty. you might as well brew up with ash from your next bonfire. im no coffee snob but this really was vile!

this isn't worth a go even if Poundland are paying a pound.

That's the taste. Couldn't put my finger on it. I will say that if you only run 20ml of water through it then it isn't too bad.Any more ands it burnt rubber time.

I've tried this and do not recommend. I picked it up from B&M for 99p. If you must go spend a pound, i'd recommend plantation wharf by percol (red or green label) from B&M.

Terrible, terrible coffee.

This coffee is delicious and i have been drinking it every morning!!

I bought some of this coffee and went back to buy more, it's lovely!
And it's an absolute bargain!

This coffee is lovely! I bought a bag from B&M thinking I would try it as it was only £1. I didn't expect too much but it is actually on par with the likes of Nespresso, in my opinion. YUM!

It was a quid.
Ideal for a quick shot.

Well at a £1 I thought I would give it a try.

Went through my Pavoni professional ok.

Cappuccino tasted fine.
Even espresso was on par with lavazza, illi etc.

Coffee making is all about time & preparation.

Definitely beats an instant.

I will be buying more next time I'm down Poundland, that's if there's any left?

Just got home with mine, it is great value for money. It doesn't taste like burnt rubber in
my professional Costa coffee maker

This coffee is vile. For a £1.00 you cannot expect much, but it is undrinkable. Throwing ours out - Ugh!!

I'm with the burnt rubber people i'm drinking it now my first cup and my last........Poundland have douwe egberts where I live i'm sticking with that this is yuk!

Mine just went in the bin couldn't agree more it is revolting

Mine tastes fine. Nice and strong.

It was a lot to expect anything beyond average of a coffee that costs £1 but I thought it was worth a pop...but this is truely revolting. I agree that it smells and tastes like burnt rubber or plastic, couldn't even swallow it. Wouldn't agree that it was drinkable, but then i'm a bit of a coffee snob. It's likely that we're all getting slightly different blends depending on when we bought it. The product has been produced by a firm that buys up overstock and sells it on, so the beans are going to be from a huge number of sources in a range of conditions, but all of which would be bought at the end of their shelf life; when coffee beans are older they loose their flavour because they become dry, the beans have then been "roasted" (insinerated in this case so that each pack tastes as similar as possible given the variety of sources) with little expertise... which would explain why this hardly even tastes like coffee

I am a coffee snob and this was a most quaff-able brew and did not start the jihad on my taste buds i'd expected from a £1 coffee - will definitely be considering this rather than my specialist supplier which is some distance from my house. Especially since he has stopped letting me sleep on the sofa when I do make the effort to visit.

This tastes likes its been scraped off of a horses hoof. The initial non-descript taste and aroma give way to an acrid foul taste which pervades all of your senses, to such an extent that it can actually make you convulse (I got a shudder down my spine). I have since had an upset stomach. This should be given a health warning, as it probably has more carcinogens than 20 cigarettes.

Well I'm enjoying this coffee - I mix it with other Italian coffees to get the desired rich smooth taste that I like and it reminds me of our trip to Naples.

This coffee is great and all the Italians I know buy it and they know their coffee.

Tried drinking this three times today. It was giving me the boak (Scottish word for wretching). Bought some more expensive stuff and when you smell the two next to each other realise there's something seriously wrong with this stuff. Threw the rest out.

Check out their website: mpruk.co.uk Says it all really.

I was given some with great reviews, the packaging looked similar to illy and others so I had no preconceptions. On opening it didn't smell right - certainly overroasted imo, the taste was really offensive and just plain nasty. Coffee certainly isn't just about how you make it, it's the roasting of the beans as well as where they are grown that make the difference- these taste like they were grown in the dock lands and roasted in oil drums. Now I see why it's ended up in Poundland.

Have been drinking this for about 6 months and can't fault this coffee

There's a black variety as well (been in Poundland forever) Dark Roast http://www.madeparis.com/public/media/MediaExpos/product/82_1487855330.jpg

Haven't tried the Black one, but the Red is pretty unpleasant
