Seems like a good value bike. It's marked as on sale, not sure how long it has been this price. Other calibre bikes have good reviews on bike radar.
I'm no bike expert so can't pick out any of the better features, but the specs are below.

I don't know the weight of the giant bikes. I looked at the giant escape which was under £250, but the weight wasn't listed. The excuse for that was the bikes come with plenty of different options. They could have just put a typical weight like other firms.
As for the more expensive giant, I'm guessing it's a similar scenario.

​Not all about lightness. Much about feel too.

Not a road bike. A hybrid. A road bike is completely different.I wouldn't ride a flat bar much on the road as it isn't comfortable.

these are ideal in MK where we have the redway, I have a form pulse hybrid. Shame this is from go outdoors as the staff for the cycle section in MK are useless
