Trade in Halo for COD? Doesn't seem right lol. Seriously though reach is like a month old and going to stay interesting unlike COD since you can make tons more customized game modes and customize levels with forge world or even regular forge. Does COD even have that? I'm not saying the game is bad it's just not designed quite as well as Halo. Halo is just about to add new maps, halo is about to add extra rankings and armour to purchase etc. so now would be a terrible time to sell it unless you really just aren't bothered but then why buy it?

same deal as GAME for halo reach

if you want to trade in MW2 they were giving £20 in HMV for it 2 weeks ago so would be better doing that

cheers for the photo its not that good a deal but still if they realease it for £26 or something its only going to be a couple of quid with this

Halo is a totally different game though and for alot of people (including myself) its hardly stayed interesting, i've been bored of it for a few weeks now. I won't be getting rid of it because i never do with games i own, but i expect to see a ton of them traded in for CoD.

Halo "maps" have never really been that impressive to me (even the forge mode), they are all made up of pretty much the exact same building blocks and colours, so they all look so similar - eventually boring.

With £24 off for a trade in though, i can't see Tesco selling the game particularly cheap (as i said in another thread, its looking more likely to be around the £39 mark making it £15 with trade in of Halo)

i would check your local tesco extra actually takes trade ins,the add say all tesco stores take trade ins,but according to the tesco website the dumfries store doesnt take them and i can confirm this as i called to double check

surely they won't be offering that much now as cex only give 14 for it, anyway of finding out?

I think it's a good deal, CEX's website is buying COD:MW2 for 12 quid

Does anyone know of the other Supermarket Deals for Call Of Duty Black Op's?

I'm trying to work out the best deal.

buy the sun 2moro all the supermarkets who will be price dropping will be init anyways im not paying more than the 25/26 i paid for MW2 at sainsbury

was in asda cardiff gate this morning and got told it would be £25.97 for tuesday only (or whilst stocks last), but half of their expected stock is already spoken for through pre-orders

£24 trade in for Halo Reach??? Thats a good offer, heat added....even if they sell black ops for £40, thats a better cash deal than anything else I have seen......was going to trade Reach to CEX for £14, but might be an early morning trip to tesco!!

Thanks

How so? It changed its play list just a week or two ago, it added new maps for free and some payed ones coming along with the customisable stuff. Thats ontop of adding new weapons, vehicles, armour abilities, customisable amour, playing as covenant, new game types, a better vote system and assassination moves. If its not stayed interesting I don't see how COD would stay interesting.

I'm not going to be a fanboy so I'll give your dues when they're deserved, I certainly agree on the forge building block issue but they will still feel and play different regardless of looks. I see halo as a much more varied game because the larger range of weapons, grenades, vehicles and the abilities make fights quite varied. You used to be able to just sticky someone and say F you but now armour lock can save you from that and the new abilities add a lot to the strategy and play styles of gamers. I don't see COD having much of that as each player is just the same other than classes? Maybe thats all you need but if so I don't see how COD wouldn't get boring within a month or two aswell though as it does a lot less than Halo.

So you have to trade in MW2 on the PS3?

Unfair

all depends on tesco price on the day.
id much rather pay any price straight up thats under £32 on release day, but i might have to consider this offer if i have no other choice

I'd rather keep modern warfare 2 and get a sainsburys deal, sure there are others who would like this though.

So Tesco is £25 (+£17 for 2100 points), does that mean its a quid if you trade in halo reach??

Not saying Halo is a bad game, i know plenty of people love the game still, but you can pretty much guarantee that Black Ops will take the top spot of Live online numbers and stay there for a long time - i guess i just prefer the CoD style.

Im not sure your comment on number of weapons selection being larger on Halo is true? CoD has a huge amount of them, both in primary and secondary, far more than i've ever seen in Halo (which for the most part you play with the same one). Vehichles are not something i enjoy in a CoD game since it should be about gunplay, but they do work quite well in Halo. I think they're both as varied as each other.

They both have their seperate FPS market though, neither will suddenly do badly, but you'll definitely see alot of Halo Reach being traded in i imagine - its all about personal taste (future/present styles), i prefer the fast paced gameplay of CoD, other wont.

There was no mention of Halo Reach trade in at my Tesco, only this deal you've posted - not sure they'd accept trade ins for it, or give you any decent amount of money for it.

Just been to my local Tesco where they're not trading in modern warfare 2?! Also black ops plus 2100 ms points is online only?

I remember Major nelson records which games are the most played on live, generally halo beats COD but on launch week or even for the month of it I wouldn't be surprised if black ops does surpass halo.

Well maybe COD does have more guns, it's possible but I think they don't quite balance as well as on Halo where you can do better with weaker guns. I think they can be as varied as eachother but generally the equipment / armour abilities do make me find the combat more fun in halo. Still no point in harping on about which is best as it's up to the individual.

I can agree with you I just think if you bought halo its a bad time to swap out unless you do only play 1 FPS at a time. Like I said some new maps were added for free, some new maps that can be payed for are being added, we can always make new ones in forge and then the play list and uncapping of the rankings. Seems like there's still some life going on for a game barely a month old so it's just a bad time to swap out. Froget my initial arrogance in acting like Halo was the better title but my point is more people shouldn't swap in and out so easily on games still doing just fine.
