Call of Duty tackles a whole new era as Black Ops for PC plunges you into the murky height of the Cold War and history's most secretive battles. The world's most popular first person shooter places you in the most dangerous conflict zones of the late '60s.

From the jungles of Vietnam to the snowy wastes of the Ural mountains, you and your team must operate behind enemy lines and using only the limited technology of the time. Luckily this includes air support such as the SR-71 Blackbird stealth plane, as well as deadly attack helicopters and armoured personnel carriers.

Like any Call of Duty game the multiplayer will set the standard for all other console games, with enhanced customisation tools, playable vehicles and a revamped scoring system.

Call of Duty: Black Ops for PC features:

* Retro Warfare: Call of Duty explodes the myths of the Cold War as you join a team of Black Ops soldiers caught up in the fight against communism in Vietnam and beyond.

* Ammu-Nation: Use new special ammo including an explosive crossbow, Dragon's Breath flame rounds for your shotgun and a range of other period weapons.

* Twisted Metal: Take the controls of the iconic SR-71 Blackbird as you direct operations from high above or jump into an attack chopper in Vietnam for some close-up action.

* Online Perks: Create-a-Class 2.0 customisation tool lets you personalise your online battles even more, with new perks and revamped rules for killstreaks.

Call of Duty: Black Ops for Windows PC is NVIDIA® 3D Vision®-Ready and supports stereoscopic 3D gaming using 3D Vision active-shutter glasses and NVIDIA GeForce GPUs. For more information, visit NVIDIA's site here!

Reason: I do not like it. lol

Have some heat OP. Been waiting for it to come down to a non rip off price.

Just wondered if anyone else had posted the deal and found this, wish I'd posted when I originally saw it and ordered it this afternoon.

Hot price.

Banging deal

Cold votes due the the fact it's a poor game.
I could never bring myself to vote it hot because I hate the game so much but I certainly wouldn't vote a deal cold just because I don't like or understand the product. It winds me up when people do that.

Pretty good, not a bad game - way better than the PC version of warfail 2.

I got mine a la Russia for £14 but this is a good price for a boxed UK copy.

Rounded off my evening after Spurs beat the mighty Milan...great post, ordered ta.

ordered heat added.

trust me! they need to make it work properly first they are making the next COD before they have evening made the last one work!...this game is a really dogs rear end for PC users....it grossed £223 million on its first day, theres no wonder they aren't bothered about fixing it and moving onto the next one!!!!! beware!

If you don't like the game then don't vote at all!! That's not a valid reason to vote.

Black Ops = MW2 map pack.

Hot for the price, but This is a better deal for the use you get out of this game.

PC version is very good. I had multiplayer issues that were fixed within a week of launch and the single player was 'technically' faultless.
It only lasted 7-9 hours (that's what? Unfortunately standard fare for a FPS these days) but I quite enjoyed it.

COD multiplayer gets huge amounts of criticism but that's to be expected from a game that is so widely played. The brutal honest truth is a lot of people have been sucked in to the idea that it was fun in the first place.

That's exactly what I just said.

Hot deal but poor game.

Good price, but if you've played any of the COD games since 4, this won't offer you anything different really. Releasing the same game each year with a different story and a couple of different features just doesn't work.

Voted hot mind, as this is the first time I've seen it below £30.

people who criticise expect it to be a serious shooter like excellent arma 2, battlefield 2 or to a small extent rainbow six vegas 2 but it isnt its just a mindless shoot em up no more

its akin to a brainless movie like Transformers as opposed to The Road, Matrix, Inception, Shawshank, etc

mw4 was awesome but agree i thought mw2 was pretty good in parts, world at war was awful though

Just for balance I would like to say that I enjoy Black Ops much as I enjoyed MW2, yes they are very similar, but I have logged about 40 hours actual game time on it since paying £30 in Jan (PS3) and i expect to double that time before I move on to something else. At this point it will still fetch £20 on ebay so got to be well worth it.

Out of stock, good deal before that though.

First up - HOT DEAL.

I suppose I should also wade in for the PC version here, too. Been playing since day one and only during that initial midnight play, did I have issues. After the first patch, it's been smooth sailing ever since. Logged over 100 hours of play in multi and enjoyed ever minute of it.

I can't ignore the issues some folk have with the PC version, though, and it was a disgrace that it was released in the condition it was. Some people couldn't get play it without lag/bad performance (some still can't). And in the UK, whether Activision get a slap on the wrist from the recent petition sent to some kind of governing body, it'll sure make for an interesting show! Popcorn anyone?

Also, to those here to poo poo the game. Why are you wasting your time on something you clearly have a distaste for?? Spend your time on things you want to talk about!

That's exactly what I just said.

Oh yeah, for some reason I chose not to read it all and instead jumped to a conclusion...

thats because world at war & black ops made by a company called Treyach. Rest of call of duty was by Infinity wards which created & made this franchise famous. now they have moved on to become a new team (since 2 heads got sacked by activision & most infinity ward quit to follow them) called Respawn. They're working on their new title now so I'm really looking forward to that one. Call of duty is kinda dead to me. I hear Activision is getting another company (who made the first Dead space game) to make the next COD game.

more info here:
ve3d.ign.com/art…tle

another comment on that site is: Call Of Duty 7: Vietnam this Fall, Call Of Duty 8 next year, and perhaps also another CoD from Infinity Ward - the milking has well and truly commenced! that's Activision for you
