Not to be cheeky here but say if one did this with all the codes and everything to get those clubcard points, would you be able to return the game and still keep hold of the points? or would you have to surrender the points at the time of refund?

Original Poster

i'm not sure, if it was possible the game would need to be sealed still as nowhere accepts opened games for refunds due to piracy.

Thanks for thats, they all worked for me.
Not sure if they will let me keep the points but worth a try.

Do these codes work with the xbox 360 version too?

wookiemummy

Do these codes work with the xbox 360 version too?

Yup - that's what I've just done, makes the deal a no brainer with 1000 bonus points. Big thanks to Bookie btw

Not voted either way, due to the following listed on QUIDCO's Tesco page T&C's

Members should only use voucher codes listed on Quidco. If you use voucher codes that are not listed on Quidco your cashback may not track or be declined.

Just ordered the £25 copy with 2100 points and used the codes. If they don't work I will at least get the game for a good price and not have to go out tonight and queue for an hour to get it at no doubt a higher price.

Voted hot

Once I add all the codes, they get accepted, but the total at the bottom reads 114 points for the order (game and 2100 points). The points from the codes aren't added to this total. This mean they haven't counted?
On the screen is says all teh promotional codes have been successfully entered. And below this it says 150 points have been added, 150 points have been added, 200 points have been added etc.

oh man I already ordered this morning before codes posted!

they don't show as being added but they actually are, the points at the bottom are regular clubcard points for your goods you have in your basket.

Re-reading this thread, not sure I understand it, the various codes listed above are for clubcard points?? If so then the whole calculation of eventual cost is wrong.

The game is £34.99 for PC, adding the aforementioned mp3 tune takes the basket total to £35.28, adding all the codes gives you an extra 1000 clubcard points plus the 68 points for the game. That 1068 points cannot be duducted off of the basket total, so IF QUIDCO tracks at 8%(read my post above) then you will get £2.82 back for the game, bringing the effective price for the game £32.46(including the mp3 to allow you the final code to be added).

The 1068 points are nothing but that until you receive the money off coupons from Tesco Clubcard, and as the last statement has just been validated and is in the process of being sent out to customers, you couldn't even trade up your points accrued in this transaction in the Clubcard Exchange as they will be sent out in the next statement. So have decided on cold for this.

you don't need to wait for coupons, you can use your clubcard towards your food shopping online or instore therefore saving you all that money.

Well you can only spend vouchers issued in statements online or instore once they have been issued by Clubcard HQ as stated HERE, and as your latest statement has just been validated, it won't be for a while yet. Plus with all the codes listed, and according to QUIDCO's T&C's you won't get 8% back??

Your thread assumes you have deducted the value of the clubcard points from the basket total then a further 8% from that. I'm just saying imo I think your wrong and on the face of it, you have effectively posted Vouchers giving you extra clubcard points which can be used at a later date. If this had been posted a few weeks ago and listed it stating 'Buy COD:BO and get 1000 extra clubcard points to trade up to double the value' or 'buy any chart title for £35 or more and get 1000 extra clubcard points, trade up to £20 and buy COD:BO for £14.99' then I would agree with you!

Don't forget the deal at the moment on tesco is for COD for £25 when you buy £20 PS3 or XBOX cards hence making this deal unbeatable

Fine then it should be listed as such, but it isn't Plus, while I think that is a good deal(listed alredy today), I don't like the way they have upped the price on the XBOX Live 3 months subscription and 2100 Points cards(don't know about PSN cards as I don't own one, yet!!). I was in Tesco last week and got XBOX Live 3 months for £14.71. Also you are relying on the cards(both XBOX and PS30 being in stock if you want to buy in store so you have a chance of owning the game on release date?? The website doesn;t state delivery will be on release date and if you order today, what are the chances of getting tomorrow morning?

money in the bank ...don't get so hung up, any of us that use Tesco points and double up or in some cases quadruple up will understand the value...in fact even you're not a Tesco shopper, the deal is eay to understand...well obviously not for everyone...but a good deal none the less

I presume it's useless if you didn't put in clubcard info? i have it on my account but not Tesco Direct. Never sent me a fob or the card when i lost it since a year

quidco says that it MAY not track if used with codes that aren't listed on there i.e codes they have verified that all customers can use and not ones only available to old people or other criteria where codes are only issued to certain demographics. Quidco says this about loads of other companies too which the quidco has always tracked everytime for me even when using codes too. Yes this deal assumes that you will spend the points on shopping, anyone can work that out. Just order some shopping online or instore and use your points towards your the cost of your groceries and its basically £10 cash then.

You seem to have some sort of personal vendetta, its a good deal, if you don't like me or tesco you should comment on a different deal. I've ordered and will be using the points towards my groceries next time i go to tesco which will save me alot of cash

The game is onsale at tesco entertainment, not direct. You can add you card details if it isn't already on there, only takes a minute or 2.

personal vendetta

Absolutely not, its nothing against you or tesco, in my personal experience of using QUIDCO, and quite recently, I have tracked items at £0.00, and when queried, its because I used codes not listed with them. They would then refer me to the particular retailers page on the site and quote that.

Plus I don't see it as a deal, its more a voucher post than anything else, just my personal opinion, your purchasing items at the retailers price and getting extra points for the purchase by entering codes, nothing you are doing decreases the price your paying on the day, say as the deal on the XBOX or PS3 versions is, buy the relevant consol cards(online access or points) and get the game cheaper. That to me is a deal. As I said its just a personal opinion, not a vendetta. And quite clearly not everyone agree's with me as some heat has been added, which is good, but in a world of freedom of speech and on a site where voting cold generally warrants an explanation(not always given by some), I thought I would put my opinion across, sorry if this has offended, as this was not the case.

If anything the only problem I have is pricing in general for this item, but from what I have read elsewhere, the games creators/distributors have forced the hands of the retailers.

Original Poster

it can be used to reduce the price you pay on the day, buy the game online or instore on the day then the points go on your card then in a seperate transaction buy your food partly funded by your points. Yes for a few seconds you will indeed have paid £35 but thats it just a few seconds. Whether quidco tracks or not the points certainly will which makes it £7+ cheaper than everywhere else selling the PC version hence this being a hot deal.

Sorry but here I have to disagree, having never heard of this before, I have just contacted the customer services at Tesco Clubcard on 0800591688 and you cannot redeem points just awarded in store immediately, your points are added to your balance then issued to you in the form of vouchers(minimum being 150 points for £1.50 worth of vouchers) in your next statement. You cannot as you said make a purchase online, be awarded the extra points then redeem them on a totally seperate transaction, the same instore. If there is anywhere in the T&C's on the clubcard website, then I would willingly be proven wrong, but this has come from a rather friendly individual at the retailers customers services.

Just got an email from Tesco saying that the xbox live points card is no longer available and has been cancelled They could change the order and make COD full price but still showing as £25 at the moment.

I have an email to say the game has despatched at a cost of £25 but nothing about the points, no mention of it?!?!?!?!?!

Thanks.............................
1150 Club card points.

How did you get 1150 points?

This is HOT! Heat and Rep added.

Just ordered online via Quidco for £25 + the £20 PSN Card deal (Total £45)

All codes worked fine! (1000 Clubcard points) worth either £10 instore, £20 Tesco Big Clubcard Voucher Exchange or £30 on Deals.

If Quidco tracks and validates, could be another £3.60 cashback!!

Happy Days :-)

Edit:- Forgot to mention the standard 118 Clubcard points I also got for the purchase!

Way too expensive for a PC game.

Typical Activision.
I hope they go out of business one day.

The XBox version is currently on the tesco website for £39.90!

Helpful opening post, but entirely negated by this subsequent one!...

1) the boots clubcard works like that, the tesco one certainly doesn't... you need to wait for your points to be converted to vouchers and sent to you in the post
2) you cant really say the points will certainly track, based on past purchases from Tesco Entertainment using a variety of vouchers, it's still a little bit of a gamble with multiple codes
3) the clubcard points are a bonus, not money off... if £7 of codes track it doesn't mean you've paid £28. it means you've paid £35 and received £7 of free groceries!

...erm, not been rude or anything, as i said, good opening post, just felt there were a few innacuracies in this one!!!

jeez some people so how come you have deemed the quidco fit to be allowed!! you can't knock that off your total either it takes months to actually receive it from quidco!!!!!

It's been that price all day.
If you add the 2100 points or 3month Live pack to the cart as well, the game gets reduced to £25.
Assuming you're on the Entertainment website and not Direct that is (I wonder if Tesco Direct will also adjust after midnight as per the instore price?)

come to +968 clubcard points for the PS3 version, with all the codes.

Ive just gone thru with the order and the total price for the XBOX version is Total : £42.78

is that correct?

Oooo i think i ordered the 3 month Gold card - rather than the 2100 points! Which one is best? Its a present for someone else! The descriptions dont actually state what they are!!!
