In hmv today enquiring about Black Ops preorder. Guy behind the counter told me that I could get Black Ops for £7.99 if I brought Medal of Honor in to trade in- no sign of any advertising for this in the shop unfortunately so couldn't get a photo. Seemed like quite a good deal if you have got through Medal of Honor already.

+ every owner if they're honest!!!

Looking forward to the supermarket price war on the 8th

Good deal, unless supermarkets price war over it.... but based on FIFA (where the price war never got going) this might be a good deal for those with MoH still.

I'm glad I didn't buy it.

havent played moh yet, dont put me off (unless its really that bad) it cant be can it?

Or if you haven't got it...

Pre-owned £29.99 @ Argos, could always buy that then trade it in, £37.98 is still the cheapest I've seen so getting both for that amount sounds tempting.

MoH is on sale at shopto for £28.99

Did like moh but way to short for £38 anyway
Thanks

Surprised how hot this has been voted without any kind of evidence. HMV aren't known for their amazing trade in deals really but lets hope its true!!

Don't really think it's worth the bother tbh, £37 for black ops doesn't really seem like a good deal to me personally...

Since MoH is holding up its value, it a cold vote from me. If MoH was around 23 it would have been hotisch.

I don't understand why anyone would trade in Medal of Honor for Crap Ops. Cold from me

why is this so hot, you can get £28/£30 (for medal of honor) cash from cex depending whether it has the code, which makes this Deal £36/£38 for game

i hate the feeling i get before a cod game gets released.

trade in game station for £31 then price match hmv save a pound

I dont understand why anyone would buy a game published by EA.

medal of honor is a good game i like it. not played it for a week or so, but ive played the online for about 3 hours, which is more than all COD games online together in my life.

its a good trade in deal but it would cost me £6 on the bus to get to an HMV, so wouldnt be much good. ill prob get black ops for free anyway.

normal or limited edition?

Cos Activision's so much better. Raising the RRP of MW2 to £50? Releasing over 10 Guitar Hero/Hero games in 2009 alone? Bobby Kotick saying he wants to increase game prices even more?

And if EA's so bad, how is Battlefield: Bad Company 2 better than MW2? And how is Rock Band more interesting and less repetitive in comparison to the recent Guitar Hero games?

Ah, so you've played Black Ops have you?

Thought not.

Activision are the worst/most evil.
No contest. They just love to milk their products dry.

EA isn't so bad anymore.

Worth it if you want to play the most mind-numbing and overrated series ever. :P

hot.

EA being the money hungry company who are forerunners in making sure you have to buy their products brand new by putting a code on them?

anyone know if this offer is available for the PC ?

And? its a good thing, it allows 2nd hand games to still be sold, they could always have a code that blocks the whole game, this way it gives you the option, and rewards those who buy new with free DLC

as for the Deal, Hot if your looking to get rid of MoH but not so hot if your looking at using as a way to get it cheap, I reckon Supermarkets will have some deals on this.

Cmon people don't let the giants get between us, we all know both Activision AND EA are relatively evil and don't give a **** about the gaming industry, just their profits. The time will come when they take it too far and people just won't put up with their **** anymore, till then we just have to wait to find out what kinda prices it takes to turn the sheeple back into people.

How is punishing pre owned purchasers a good thing? Just a lame way of hosing the consumer of ££££

The developers or publishers don't get anything from those pre-owned purchases. It's not as if they're stopping you from buying preowned games completely, you'll just need to pay a bit more to play online. You're still going to be buying it cheaper than new. And if not, why don't you buy it new

haha, as crap as MW2 is, it still stands above Battlefield. How can you compare Rock band to Guitar hero and have said there is a clear winner? They play almost exactly the same. Guitar hero has been going longer so its bound to get a bit more repetitive but come on, if your gonna argue about it, buy a real guitar.

If you sold MOH, surely you'd have enough to buy COD Black Ops without having to pay extra?
